I don't really wanna relitigate that in this thread but this is my thoughts. Her debut appearance was great in Boston in front of a molten crowd. For some reason they pushed her debut match down the road to a PPV 6 weeks out so she was left without much to do. But then she had a great match with Willow on that PPV. She followed that up with a great match against Stephanie Vaquer at the next PPV. Then she had a great initial segment with Dr. Britt Baker when they confronted each other.

To that point, I felt everything was going pretty well. Then Britt got suspended and their feud went nowhere, Mercedes was cutting nonsense promos with nothing to do, the writing didn't make much sense etc... Britt comes back and they have the match, Mercedes looked great but Britt isn't a good worker. The next week she did a match on a NJPW PPV against Momo Wantanabe and that was a great match. But then she got rushed into a nothing feud with Shida and something happened, I think Mercedes got legit kicked in the head and that's why she hasn't wrestled in a month or maybe she was just set to take time off, I'm not sure.

So to me, it's been hit and miss... I'd say more hit than miss but it's only been 6 months anyway

Do you disagree with anything I said?
I agree about the debut being perfect, but it was all downhill after that. The match against Vaquer was very good, as was her match against Willow. I think she's lost a few steps due to the ankle injury that almost ended her career. Before she was the blueprint which is why Vince always used her to see if the women coming up were ready, but now she needs to work with people that can help carry the load. The match with Britt was a disaster because Britt is the AEW version of Alexa Bliss. She still has a star look and is drop dead gorgeous:whew:, but her best days are clearly behind her.
