Pretty sure the only reason they signed him was because he had worked with Cody and they saw the writing on the wall.

Low key this was probably the reason. And they obviously didn't do their homework since I think (from what I remember) he needed knee surgery when he debuted with WWE and jobbed to Lesnar in Saudi Arabia. One of the WOAT signings given the lack of return they got from the signing.

Vince brought him in just to job him out to the golden boy Brock. Cain is always hurt though. He needs to go that bioexcellerator stem cell lab that all the wrestlers and mma fighters go to. His matches in AAA looked impressive for a beginner. Dude was doing ranas and shyt, and in WWE he was doing worked shoot fights. He should go to AEW but I think he had a son like a year ago, and his mom passed liked 2 years ago, so I think he is just focusing on being a Dad.

I loved Cain as a fighter. Then the injuries happened and I had to watch him basically crumble on his own, into an L from Francis Ngannou. Hate that it had to be him. Then he got a second life as a wrestler and looked greaaaat for as new as he was in AAA. Then he went to the WWE and looked flabby and sick. Kofi's reign got bushed (they straight up regressed him forever more after that shyt) so he could show up, have everyone who didn't know who he was be incredibly underwhelmed, have a trash match and job to Brock and "even things out" with him.

I hate....that it had to be him.

I watched UFC during Cain's run, and I'll be 100% honest, when he first walked out on that Smackdown set, I had no idea who the fukk he was for at least a few seconds. Thank you, Michael Cole, for reminding me.
