I don't know if it was Roaring Kitty or who the hell dumped the market like that. And as I had bought some stuff recently thinking things were gonna get better. Hopefully things stabilize thru the weekend and get back on track for Monday. So many in double digit percentage drops. Crazy.
Restaking is like compounding. Say you have 1k coins staked at 10% interest annually which is 100 coins. Instead of taking those 100 coins at end of year, they are restaked and then your interest is on 1100 coins instead making 10% be 110.
The interest rate given plus the frequency of restake have an effect on the growth as well as how many you have.
Staking is just lending then your coins to help grow the protocol. Some let you take it out right away, others it takes time. Like for atom I have a 21 day wait so I gotta plan accordingly.
