I've had my coins on exchanges for 3+ years and haven't had nan issue. See no real reason to be moving shyt back and forth, and that is just an added level of a mistake happening.
Crypto world bleeding 
When a coin moons and all of a sudden the exchange is "down" or has been "hacked" you'll understand why.
But don't worry, they'll let you sell two days later when significant profits have been taken by others.

Write it down, (multiple times if necessary ) Type it in word processor (and print out multiple copies of it)
What sense does that make when you still need the exchange to cashout? So even if I have it in a wallet, wouldn't I still have to transfer it to an exchange to cashout putting me right back in the same situation? And again I've been in this for years now.
