AEW has a couple.
They could have still had a show on AXS TV, but declined their 2020 option with Anthem/AXS. The show is gone, they had no intentions of airing WK14 on the channel. Hmmm. So they quietly set themselves up to lose TV soon after they announce New Japan of America and more US shows?
Nah. There was always a plan.
AEW had to establish themselves (they did), everyone had to see how much AAA was going to cooperate (surprisingly well), and NJPW had deals with CMLL/ROH to finish out (CMLL seems content with keeping the tradition of Fantasticamania, and letting NJPW work with AAA, by proxy).
