I wonder if he can go back to amateur wrestling. He's taken two TERRIBLE shots (remember, he got slumped in his first fight before he got submitted) in the last two years, and he's only 22

He certainly can go back to amateur wrestling and still excel. Hell, even Joe Warren went back for a little while, but was too to make the Olympic/World team at that point.

MMA is a career, though. He's gotten money and tons of promotion hype with Bellator. Amateur wrestlers have to run training camps/seminars and coach to get money. He may try it for a little while just for glory, but there is not much of a career path in it compared to MMA.
