He didn't duck him he wanted more money he still worked a 9 to 5 and he was champ

He lost to cejudo on purpose because dana would not let him out his contract as champion

His manager owns the one fc it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out how it went down

:mjlol: Wow

Well then he did a pretty bad job of that considering like half the people thought he won lol.

DJ didn't lose to Cejudo on purpose and he wasn't dodging TJ. He was just tired of sealing with Dan BS and wanted to get out of the UFC. And I don't blame him one bit.

How you can't knee a nikka in the UFC? :gucci:
yea, mma is marketed as the purest fighting option, and that mma fighters would wash anyone.....and now i find out you cant even knee people in certain positions ( a common street fighting move)
I’m not sure if you guys are new to this sport, and if this ESPN deal is bringing in new fans but it’s to be expected. So I’ll give a quick backstory.

So first MMA is a sport and a philosophy, and you have multiple different organizations that sign competitors to fight. The UFC was formed in the US in 1993. It’s original matches were tournament style, and marketed as style vs style, with no holds barred, no time limits, no weight classes and essentially only eye gouging and biting were illegal. Groin shots, knees to the head of a downed opponent, soccer kicks, head butts, stomps etc were all legal back then. However in the very first match of the very first UFC Karateka Gordeau soccer kicked Sumo wrestler Tuli in the head while he was down, knocking out a few of his teeth and leaving two of the teeth stuck in the Karate masters foot. The rumor is that one of the teeth flew into the stands and landed in front of potential sponsors scouting the UFC, and were so disgusted they got up and left. Not a good way to market your sport. Not only did they lose sponsors but posed a serious infection risk to the fighter, who just wrapped his foot and continued fighting the rest of the night.

Then came UFC 12 in New York. New York politicians saw MMA and depicted it as human cockfighting, and a blood sport. They said then that the only way the UFC would be held in New York is to implement shin guards, headgear, no fighting on the ground and gloves. This completely juxtaposes the MMA theory and principles so overnight the UFC moved the event to Dothan Alabama. As you could imagine the UFC lost tons of money from the overnight move plus other states followed New York and banned mma. This is known as the dark ages of the UFC. So given a little background info you can kinda start to understand why the present day rules are the way they are. To clean up and make mma more marketable so to speak.

But to answer your question you can knee people in the head. Just can’t knee or kick what’s considered a downed opponent in the head. But you can clinch while standing and grab the back of someone’s head and knee them in the face. A good example of how devastating this is is from another mma organization Bellator, where a guys skull got partially caved in. I’ll find pictures if you want. But yeah it’s not surprising why some moves are banned in the US. However if you wanna watch people get knee, soccer kicked and stomped while down on the ground, watch some PRIDE FC highlights on YouTube. Brutal stuff. Japan didn’t give a fukk lmao

Either way he is on record of saying the UFC didn't offers money he wanted to go up to 135. He will do better in Asia and make way more money. He's already solidified he's the greatest 125er so far and probably for awhile. I get it from Danas side to. Not a big enough draw to offer him that kind of money. Either way I'm happy tj lost. Ever since he threw a knee on to that dude that was laying down at alpha male cause he whooped him
He wasn't being asked to move up, it was always TJ moving down, did you not realize the fight last night was at 125lbs? DJ was hesitant to take the fight because he was worried about TJ missing weight but once he said (paraphrasing) why would I fight TJ when I can fight Ray Borg for the same money it was obvious what was up with him.

He fought a style of fight where he would lose a decision, he could've easily one of that fight, if he wanted the fix was in for him to lose which is why he is gone right after the fight is over lmao, its not by coincidence he was out the UFC, but you're too stupid to see that

If you watch the fight his corner is asked him what he was doing and does he want to lose the fight, and DJ doesn't respond, anybody with eyes can see what happened, cejudo isn't on his level man

also you ignored the fact that he was traded to One FC which is owned by his manager, you just gloss over that fact, if it wasn't already planned, DJ would've got a rematch with Cejudo, but pretend to be dumb

just like anybody who thought TJ had a chance to win this fight when he couldn't even beat Dodson,

Now on his stream playing videogames who said he still worked a job, while he was champion

Don't know exactly what you're saying because it's in mangled English, but we can dead this now using his own quoted words, he worked a fulltime job through 2011, before he became champ

Johnson didn't want to be a full-time MMA fighter

The only thing that changed Johnson's mind about MMA as a full-time gig was bad luck. In a win over Miguel Torres in May 2011, Johnson injured his leg when Torres checked a kick. He went to work twice despite the injury until doctors told him the leg was broken. Johnson's boss advised him to take some time off. He never went back to the factory.

"It was still hard to do it just because you're taking that leap of faith and you have no idea if there's going to be something there to catch me," Johnson said. ... "My paycheck was not dictated on somebody else [at the factory]. My paycheck is dictated on how hard I work. It's gonna be coming to me every single week. And that's what I loved about it."

:what: Yea he fought on purpose to lose yet the majority of people(including me) thought he was robbed. He had multiple injuries in that fight which is why that fight was closer/Henry was able to get him down even if he mounted no significant offense. His head coach Hume is Vice President or something over there at one.

DJ wasn’t getting any rematch. The minute Cejudo said he was willing to fight T.J. that was it. And that’s why he requested to leave. Relationship was already bad because they promoted him hard as the best ever, Rogan slobbering over him, multiple headlines PPV and he always flopped. He would always say dumb shyt like he wants 2 mil to move up. Then when people were calling for him to move to fight T.J. he would refuse and fight Borg/Cejudo. He also went on a rant saying UFC was racist once too. So he was cooked once he lost. They will do the same thing to Woodley if he loses his belt too. Plus his one deal worth 10 mil or something. Those Asians flush with cash look at Floyd.

Why are you talking about TJ like he a bum and keep bringing up that old ass Dobson fight? Dude is a top tier fighter. He got caught. It happens. Especially when you cutting such an extreme amount of weight
