Floyd was playing with Maidana that first fight because people were complaining he moves too much and he sat in the pocket, he blew his ass out the water the second time

Nah i doubt he was playin with him . Maidana is a tough match up. He blew him out the 2nd time cuz Maidana tried to OUTBOX him. You cant outbox Floyd, you have to brawl him ala the 1st fight. Imo floyd's toughest fight , which granted that rematch instantly

Broner is such a disappointment
I don’t think he’s a disappointment I just don’t think he was ever that good. He’s made casuals think he’s an elite fighter with all his fukkery & hyping himself up but if you go back and watch even his earlier fights hes never really looked like he could be an elite fighter

Bruh... he was playing with him. Stood in front of him and on the ropes all night

Y’all nikkas got to understand Floyd does wtf he wants in the ring normally. Maidana wasn’t that big of a threat to him which is why in the 2nd fight Floyd moved more and dominated. He said it himself he stood there to prove a point

Same thing he did against Cotto except in the last round Floyd moved his feet and damn near knocked Cotto out

Y’all always say this brawling and mauling shyt and every fighter comes in there and get they ass beat doing that shyt. The only way to beat Floyd IS to outbox him if you can...

Nah he was a good fighter, with room to be elite
The maidana fight just ruined him
He never felt power like that in his life
Hasnt thrown punches ever since

You're silly if you really believe this. The second fight is irrelevant, as he knew exactly what to expect after the first fight.

You could tell from the opening round it was gonna be an off night for Floyd, and then you add in the fact that it was maybe the best version of Maidana ever, you get a fight where he had to grind out an ugly decision.
What??

You nikkas must be bullshytting to not know when Floyd is PURPOSELY doing shyt

So now the second fukking fight is irrelevant because he dominated the nikka once again but in better fashion:mjlol:

Floyd stood directly in front of Maidana ON PURPOSE. Standing there to get hit is NOT Floyd’s style these days. Maidana could barely beat a serious Broner and got hurt by feather fisted Amir Khan, you really think he’s out here giving Floyd trouble if Floyd fights in HIS style?:heh:

Broner was just being Broner again.

Dude won 2 rounds at best, and made some others legit close, but he never seized the moment. nikka got hurt bad twice and never punched through Manny. Just at him trying to score points even though it wouldn't make a difference since the numbers would be low anyway. Him and Warren were the disappointments of the night, but I wasn't expecting much from either.

Marcus Browne kicked Badou Jack''s ass like I said he would and was mildly impressed by his performance.

Over all, pretty decent weekend of boxing. Don't care to see Broner on Tv again tho. This and the Mikey Garcia fight don't sit well with me. This nikka effort levels are trash against elite opponents. Broner was born in the wrong era and country. Dude was supposed to appear in the mid to late 90's over in Europe with enough talent to snag a belt and make a bunch of defenses against career mode jobbers while all of us over here wonder how good he really is.

He looked like shyt against Paulie & Ponce De Leon and I didn’t think he won either of those fights. Even in some of his knockouts he wasn’t really busy like that but was the much better fighter. He has always been gun shy throwing punches

fukk the hype. At 130 Broner looked like he had the potential to be elite. Mostly because he had enough stopping power to stalk opponents and put them away. Once he moved up to 140/147 the power was gone, and only the fukkery was left over.

I do think his career plays out a bit differently if he had the discipline to keep his weight in check. Especially with some of the names at 130/135 right now.

But if he were disciplined a lot of areas in his life would be different. :yeshrug:
