Six man tags have always been popular in lucha libre and they were always called "trios" because it's simply a 3-man team. Just like standard tag wrestling is "tag team wrestling" it's not called "4-man tag match"

That's because every time TK brings out a new one and puts them in a match. Excalibur calls it a dream match. Or Meltzer gives everyone all the Stars. It's poor conditioning...which you know given the audience goes multiple ways.
