Proud and Powerful has been jobbing WAY too much. Should have gone over last night. That's really my only complaint

It was a tough situation, since Private Party needed a win as well. I'm personally fine with Private Party winning, for the selfish reason that I've never ever bought into Santana and Ortiz as a team (they're always going to be the off-brand, far shyttier version of LAX to me), but if they're going to be a part of the top heel unit they need wins.

I do wonder who's eventually going to take the belts off Hangman and Kenny. I had initially thought it was going to be Jericho and Sammy around now, but Sammy's probably going to be doing a few months of job duty when he comes back and Jericho's wrapped up with OC and Tyson. But right now it seems as if the only team positioned to be a real threat to the belts is FTR, and I don't see that match happening before like November. Maybe they'll build Butcher and Blade for that, maybe the Lucha Bros. will do it. But it's an interesting situation given that they're teasing dissention between Hangman and Kenny again.

I don't like Cody but he is clearly better as a heel. The most i've been entertained by him was when he was trying to kill Ibushi

and when he was rocking a mask in wwe. The overuse of pyro and the other hhh like shyt he does would make more sense too.

If they're going to keep at this, they have to pull the trigger relatively soon. I think a bullshyt laden Cody heel run could be great, but you don't want the crowd to resent him too much, because that runs the risk of driving people away from the product. Especially since he's the most prominent face of the promotion.

I doubt Mox loses anytime soon, the problem is their already running out of top challengers for him. He beat Jericho to win it, beat Hager on TV, beat Brodie on PPV, & is about to beat Cage. PAC isn't able to make it over to the US & they went backwards with guys like Archer & MJeff, so unless they go back to somebody he's already beat during this run or start hard pushing guys they cooled off he's going to have some random ass challengers.

I have no idea what they're doing with MJF right now. He's clearly a guy they see money in, but he's really done jack shyt since beating Cody. Injury and COVID is one thing, but programming him with Jurassic Express seems like a mistake. Nothing against that act, but if MJF is a future top guy, why not get him some main event level experience? I could understand not having him be the World Title challenger at All Out if they want to preserve his unpinned streak, but this holding patter is getting slightly aggravating.

I personally think the AEW midcard booking is one of their bigger problems since nobody really moves regardless

They stick random midcard dudes is bigger matches against their top guys & follow the same formula of having them look good in back & forth matches before losing, but the follow up tends to be that person going right back to whatever they were doing so it does nothing for anybody. MJeff got stuck because of the rona, but even without that after beating Cody there wasn't many options for top guys for him to move to outside Mox since Page & Omega are the tag champs.

They really be coming for Excalibur. Good thing he wears the mask, because I know he has to be on the inside sometimes.

Shida/Ford had a really solid match. They really should let her talk more if her English is like that if they want to take her to the next level.

AEW has hella tag teams, almost too many. Only slight knock is they sometimes blur together.

He's kind of hit-or-miss. When it was just him and Schiavone at the Nightmare Factory, he seemed more reserved and able to channel his energy and charisma a little more appropriately. He could be a bit extra at times but he knew when to reel it in.

At the Daily's Place shows with all commentary hands on deck, he's a wild card. Sometimes, he's way too amped up...almost noticeably intoxicated. Still has his moments, but you can see that he's trying to get his shyt in by talking over everyone and obnoxiously getting his shyt in.
