:mjlol: Why the fukk would they do that?
Christian has name recognition, and he still has some of that "WWE guy" appeal that Tony Khan wants so badly.
Like it or not, Christian brings credibility. It's the same reason that fat Jerikkko and :flabbynsick: Moxley held the belt.

Jericho was the first champion because of the star power he brought to a new company. Moxley is a relatively young wrestler in his prime who is very popular. Christian is a 47 year old career midcarder who isn't a particularly big draw (and they've already got many, much more popular wrestlers from that era at this point in Sting, Jericho, Hardy, Big Show, Henry, etc. if you wanna talk "name recognition)". There is no chance they're going to make him their World champion, and pretending there is is just disingenuous. :unimpressed:

Jericho was the first champion because of the star power he brought to a new company. Moxley is a relatively young wrestler in his prime who was also a popular WWE guy. Christian is a known talent who is also a former world champion. There is a chance they're going to make him their World champion, and pretending otherwise is just disingenuous. :unimpressed:
Fixed it for you, ace.

Sting is a known (MUCH more so than Christian) talent who was a world champion, why hasn’t he been world champion? Big Show is a know talent who has been world champion, is he gonna be the world champion? Mark Henry? Matt Hardy?

:mjlol:Again, there is a 0% chance they’re gonna have fukking Christian beat Kenny Omega for the belt

Christian is just another good opp for Omega resume ya over thinking this.

Make Omega the man so Hangmayne looks even better when he eventually beats him.
I think Page should've been the guy when we first started talking about him being the champ, but Khan & QT cooled him off a lot. I still think he should get the belt, but I want to see him & Omega get slightly tweaked (no more silly Dark Order or "69 me, Don" stuff).
Give both guys some high profile wins & then let them face each other.

There was 0 chance Orange Cassidy or JB was going to beat him but they told a good story and had a great match, thats what im here for :manny:

W a good heel champ the journey of the match is always gonna be better than the ending because the crowd should be :pacspit: about the babyface losing.

I was ehh about Omega heel turn at first but i just wanted the belt off Moxley so i aint care as long as it was off him but these last few matches have shown Kenny is doing a great job as a heel. Im a stan tho so im biased :takedat:

Ive been wanting to see Kenny vs golddust but ill take Christian i think his style w mesh very good w him. If it isnt PAC i dont like Kenny vs generic flippy cac. He does his best against good technical guys, one of the reasons his Okada/Tanahashi matches are so :ohlawd:

Sting is like the Undertaker or Cena; he's an attraction. He doesn't need a belt.
Big Show and Mark Henry are retired as in-ring competitors, I don't know why you keep mentioning them.
Anyway, it's too nice of a day to keep going back and forth with you. Just keep watching the show & see what happens.

I thought TNA was dead:patrice:

The belt was brought back by Moose and he immediately lost it to Swann. At that point, the title should have been bushed since it doesn't mean shyt.

Facts. Jungle Boy can't talk AT ALL. He got none of his father's charisma, all he has are those damn sideburns.
I wouldn't mind seeing Jungle Boy become J.B. Perry (from Beverly Hills, of course) and replacing Shawn Spears in The Pinnacle.
A rich Hollywood snob with MJF & Tully speaking for him would be a good gimmick for Jungle Boy, IMO.

He's OK in the ring, but the guy has absolutely no charisma. I really do believe he's only popular because of his name/theme as opposed to his actual work. I also dislike the constant dikk riding on commentary about him from JR. I think guys like Sammy Guevara, Darby Allen & MJF are all better than him. Darby & MJF have gotten their pushes, but Sammy really hasn't yet.

“I’m not a promo guy at all. You know, That’s never been something I’ve been super into, probably because I’m not that great at it, and it’s not something I’ve done a lot of. And I can definitely feel that that’s kind of a weak point in my game. So I would like like to improve that. Just kind of be a better, well-rounded wrestler altogether.”

“Honestly, every time they ask me to do it, I kind of try and duck and run away and not have to. A lot of people have given me advice here and there...I think when the time comes to really buckle down and get good at it, there are a lot of people who are good people to help. So that’s good.”

Jungle Boy always tries to ‘duck and run away’ from doing promos

He admitted it's one of his weaknesses that he needs to work on. Probably something one of the vets they've brought in recently can coach him on. He's only 24 so it's not like the window has closed already on him.

I don’t mind them having a match, I’m sure it’ll be good.

But nikkas concern trolling like there’s any possibility AEW is going to put the belt on him is laughable. They’ve been very exclusive with who gets the belt, they’re not out here hotshotting the belt on any old vet who had a modicum of popularity 20 years ago :mjlol:

nikkas on this very site were calling him hangman reigns at the time of DON. Compare that to today i dont see any negative posts about him.

This has absolutely been the right move. If/when Hangman beats him that crowd is gonna go nuts and if he kicks out of the OWA :banderas: they have set this up perfectly. If hangman beats Jericho and becomes champ w no story is that better than what we got set up now?

As far as Kenny in the US you are going to have that "sports entertainment" it is what it is. Match wise he is still having good to great matches consistently and he giving them good ppv #s. His matches arent as hard hitting as Japan but they go full retard over there I dont need to see guys get hurt forreal in my playfighting :hubie: look at Trent right now bet he wishing he wasnt getting dropped on his head every other match over there.

Anyway, somebody give this kid the dap he's chasing so he can move along. Go outside & get some fresh air, fella. Stop dwelling on this silly convo.

:gucci: They didn't have like 10 other vets more popular than Jericho when he won the belt. He had the most name recognition in the company, hence he was their first world champion. Not too difficult to understand if you aren't a complete dumb fukk.

You're being disingenuous and purposely obtuse just to have something to complain about. You know damn well there is no chance Christian is winning the World title, you're fooling nobody.
