[06/04] AEW Dynamite: Hall of painful Friday night ratings

I like the fact that we're finally getting Miro the monster. However, it's strange that this evil, destructive, killing machine starts all of his promos by thanking his Lord and Savior.
Who in the hell is supposed to boo Jesus?

Don't most killers, monsters, hitman and etc either praise or answer to a "higher power" of some kind? A shout out real quick to the Based God

What impressive way is there to debut someone?

This would've been a better way to debut Andrade:
1. Have Vicki make her entrance, but stop screaming after her "excuse me" gimmick. Vicki can talk, but doesn't have a "rassler voice" where she can scream intelligibly. She should've started speaking in her natural voice to introduce Andrade. Because of her screaming, some fans probably thought she was introducing Nyla, and tuned her out.
2. To make him seem important, Andrade probably should've gotten lowered house lights & a spotlight during his walk to the ring. No AEW wrestler (except for Cody) has a major-league entrance, and this would've been a simple tweak to make Andrade look special.
3. Andrade should've had music. I didn't watch much of his work in WWE, but his theme song SLAPPED. Part of what made Ric Flair's entrance so memorable was hearing the the theme from 2001: A Space Oddyssey as he made his walk. Andrade should've had some kind of theme playing over the PA system.

I agree but maybe they are waiting to debut his theme until he has his first match. Or maybe Tony is buying the rights to some gully song for Andrade to use and is waiting for the clearance to use it

While I enjoyed this Dynamite this week, outside of a couple segments, this was a glorified Dark show.

-Bucks vs PAC and Penta was flames. It also confirmed to me that I hate any match with the Bucks and Rey Fenix in it. That combo just makes it to choreographed for me.
-Liked the Britt Baker promo. Whoever said That Nyla is the AEW version of Kane is spot on
-while I can understand the logic of announce Andrade last night since i read that’ll be taping the next three episodes of dynamite ahead of time, they could have waited until the first live show. Surprised they brought him in with Vicki since he’s going to be wrestling Kenny in AAA. It’ll be interesting to see if they bring that up or ignore it.
-The main event had good action in, however why did it happen and why was it the main event. When I ask why did it happen, was there a match where a bull rope was used? Was there a promo where the bull rope is used? Unless I missed something, this is the first “action” Dustin has had on Dynamite since the beat down last month, not counting the weigh in. I also never seen the other guy wrestle on Dynamite. He’s always in the background. Because unless a lot of the storyline was built on Dark, it was just thrown together last week. Should have had these guys feud on Dynamite for a bit before this. If not this, have this guy win on Dynamite to build him. At the very least, show a video package highlighting the feud between these two specific people. The overall feud between the two factions is not a good excuse for a random speciality match for people.

Good point, but SOMETHING should've been playing as fanfare for Andrade's arrival, even if it wasn't his permanent theme.
The last time we saw Andrade, he was a WWE midcarder. If AEW wanted to present him as a main eventer last night, he should've hit the ramp with every possible bell & whistle, IMO.

Andrade's promo was basic but effective. His wrestling will do all the talking. I just don't want him stuck too long with Guerrero. God bless the mileage and lineage she comes from but I'm all good with Vicki in a lead role.

also Cody’s audio was a bit off and those 3 segments were back to back to back, maybe there was an audio issue?

the crowd was hype all night but it didnt seem like a full capacity crowd sound-wise at all. i dont know how many people were there but the way its setup on the hard camera it doesnt look like a lot.
