What exactly did you want them doing when they were talking? Playing with Beach balls?

You have a strange idea of what crowds can do when they're not silent. If a crowd is emotionally invested, we hear them make noise. Laugh, cheer, boo, scream. The fact that you keep stating odd things like crowds can only be active thru WHAT chants or beach ball tossing shows me there's really no point in this conversation continuing.
