I been away a couple months and popped in to say I enjoyed this show and was instantly reminded how melodramatic and dumb wrestling fans are

anyway, we all knew he wasn't going to win but Sami ending the night standing was surprising

it starts the Sami and KO working out their differences and winnin the tag titles at Mani in motion. they've got what ? six weeks before Mania weekend so we've got plenty of time for them to go, no need for KO to run out and save him and Sami and KO to embrace then and there last night. Sami let your man get dog walked for months while he stood and watched.

mens chamber match was great.. they all shined but Montez layed the marker down for the future.

Liv shined but Asuka winning made sense.. Asuka and Bianca should be good money but eh, I don't really care about Asuka like that the other people do
I still think they fukked up not doing Rhea/Bianca.. Rhea really should be the Edge to Bianca's Cena anybody else beating her doesn't do much for me.

Liv got something.
Doesn't get talked about as much because she's gotta stand next to Rhea, Charlotte, Asuka, Bayley, Bianca, Becky, Raquel coming up etc. No she's not better than any of them, only 5'2, whatever else people got on her. But damn if she doesn't have the look down, moveset fits her and overall she's just consistent. I don't remember a match lately where she was the worse part. Still does that one moan and sell package too much when selling anything lol but everything else is there man

I don't know what you do with Cody vs Roman. I like Cody... but it's going to happen like it did in AEW. It's a feeling. Dude seems... way too calculated. It's like when LeBron reads books on the first page. I think he'll make it through by Mania, but that "My dad" shyt is going to get played out like it did in AEW. shyt, the time off probably saved his fate because it was already getting there before the Rollins stuff. Meanwhile, the Roman vs Sami stuff actually worked out and they even beat his ass after the match, so they left it open.
He doesn't have any variation in how he talks. Nothing's ever off the cuff or like you said, everything's calculated. That works being a heel bc you're supposed to keep an eye on the heel, babyfaces you're supposed to take at their word and he doesn't that in him everyone else in that spot did. He workshopped his promos in AEW and he probably still does or he just lacks in that area of charisma. Not a major detriment imo but it stands out bc he's standing in big shoes these days

Logan hit that attack on Rollins hella clean tho and I'll leave that at that.

Also they should have never turned the focus to that one dude who looked defeated once Owens came out because that one shot painted how out of it everyone was when Sami got pinned... damn.

Whenever Cody does anything, you can find the exact angle or thing he's ripping off on Twitter the next day. I liked the Cody vs Dusting stuff before AEW was a thing, but right off rip, people posted the same exact promos that Dusty made in 94.
Even the Mountain Dew thing, people were already ragging on it. It's like he took notes on what Cena did but doesn't have what Cena does to take it to the next level. I don't dislike him or anything and it'll most-likely work out for him because it's not like he's doing anything wrong, I just don't think it'll be as big as people want it to be.

Liv came in the wrong era. She would have been the biggest female star around ‘09-‘12.

Montreal
I was at the event last night and lemme tell ya, i can only remember 3 times the Montreal crowd was this hot:
- Hogan's 2002 ovation, Raw after Wrestlemania X8
- Hogans's other 2002 ovation on Smackdown, 2 months later
- Sami and KO's hometown intros on Raw 2018.

Montreal's a hot wrestling crowd and a classic wrestling territory, so historically we're a crowd full of smart marks, like Chicago, and get extra loud.

I'd say the Hogan ovations are bigger because they put Montreal on the map as a hot wrestling crowd. Sami's might be louder cause of the hometown effect and a crowd that wanted to experience a Wrestlemania-level moment and a homegrown champion, like a typical Montreal hockey crowd but there was something almost scary about how passionate and fanatical about the crowds during the 2 Hogan ovations.

I really hoped Montreal would get more regular live events and ppvs after the 2002 stuff, but it never happened: we shoulda been a regular visit, like a New York or Chicago, but for several large chunks, we didn't get many TV events and only had house shows. It's probably why Montreal was extra loud in 2018 for KO and Sami on Raw. I was at the Survivor Series in 97 and it took awhile but yesterday felt like the first time WWE treated Montreal like a real wrestling city.
