I feel like this year doesn't have a deep enough card to justify two dates. If they combined this into one show it'd be piff but as two events I'm not sure. I'll be watching either way :manny:

They gotta do two dates to make up for less ticket sales. The government is capping them at 20,000 spectators so they figured that doing another double shot would at least help them get 40,000 ticket sales.

Gedo and them have to be :damn:right now.

I absolutely see the sense in a shutdown, but it must be :merchant:realizing your company's biggest payday is gonna get wiped out because you have to refund a gang of tickets.

An empty Tokyo Dome is one thing for Suzuki and Takagi's fukkery, but for two days of Wrestle Kingdom? :whoo:

Maybe they get a bump in NJPW World subs the way HBO Max and Disney + did over Christmas to make up for it though :ehh:

That's gotta hurt. The Rizin show at Saitama had almost 10000 on NYE. They were probably expecting to get that much in the Dome too.

Gonna be weird as hell to see an empty Tokyo Dome for Wrestle Kingdom:wow:

Everyone is talking about Ibushi this or White that, but no one is considering Naito retaining on both nights? Those knees can endure at least two more nights.

Besides, White is trash and Ibushi needs at least two more years to be ready.

I'll check night 1 live as usual... If the government doesn't make them close :francis:

Meltzer said that the original plan for night one was for Okada/Ospreay to go on last. So that suggests to me that Ibushi wasn't winning the title. Now it's been changed to Naito/Ibushi.

Still don't think Ibushi is winning.
