Still think Wolverine isn't a central part of this film @Jazzy B. ?? :mjpls:

:dwillhuh:

:mjlol:

:comeon: Wolverine isn't the focus of this film, it's quite clearly Mystique, Xavier and Magneto just like it was in First Class.

Wolverine and the OG cast were brought back because First Class was the lowest grossing entry. The storyline of Days of Future past provided an avenue for them to do that. Wolverine isn't the focus because this film is a direct sequel to the previous X-MEN film where Xavier, Magneto and Mystique were quite clearly the focus of the film. The first trailer they released was all about Xavier and the second one will most likely be about both Magneto and Mystique with Wolverine, Sentinels and mutant powers thrown in as well. The time traveler aspect of the film isn't as important as Xavier's, Magneto's and Mystique's relationship which is the main point of the film along with the villain and Sentinels.

Yea I just wish he wasn't the central character of EVERY X-men movie, not counting the last one.

This is what made the Avengers so classic to me. No one character completely dominated the movie, you never felt like it was all about just one dude. Everybody played an important role, everybody rode for the planet, and everybody stayed getting shine :salute:

How dope it would be to see the OG Claremont squad-- Nightcrawler, Colossus, Cyclops, Storm, Wolverine, Marvel Girl, and Kitty riding together in live action :ohlawd:

(Or the 1992 animated cartoon lineup :wow:)

Trailer looks dope, but Bryan Singer is directing it. It's gonna be an emo film.

He directed X2 and was the brainchild behind 1st Class!

I can never understand the flack people get over Singer, yes he's responsible for that directing the outdated nostalgia of Superman Returns which inadvertently messed up the Xmen franchise by LEAVING IT. But, y'all act like he's the Tyler Perry of directing and storytelling. This is the same dude that blessed us with Usual Suspects!

BS, everybody been saying on the low that was the true IRONMAN 3, and naturally it'll be Stark saving the day in the end.

Wolverine has always, even in the comic books been the favorite mutant. That said, based on the premise of the film AND off the trailer, Wolverine is only used as the link between past and present, which only makes LOGICAL sense when it comes to story. But if ANYTHING the central figures in this, just like it was with 1st Class are Xavier and Magneto.
