Spot on. He was damn close. Bron got him on strength and rebounding. Penny had that work. I actually like his game better than Bron's. Penny handle is 100x better than Bron's. Not saying Bron doesn't get the job done with how he hoops, obviously. But, Penny had that finesse to his game.

Yo, what year/series of the playoffs was it when he went off for 40 points like (I think) 4 or 5 games in a row? I think that this was without Shaq, and the Magic still lost the series, but I remember him just straight going OFF for like an entire week, to the point where the other team just pretty much had to concede him those points and focus on winning in other ways.
Maybe I'm remembering it wrong, or thinking of someone else, but I have a memory of that happening.

No doubt in my mind that a pre '97 Penny could step in the league and be a top 3 player right now.
Court vision...the ability to use both hands...the pretty J..hops.....post up game...rebounding...defense.
People forget he was a beast on defense, to. Averaged over 2 spg his first 3 years in the league before the injuries hit.
