Rock n Roll tour shirts have always been popular among rock fans. It's just the in thing to wear, especially since now they sell them at any store. Tour shirts weren't a major thing for hip-hop fans which is why you don't see them often. those shirts were significant. For some rock fans, if you let your girl wear your rock band shirt, she was the one.
These were the types of shirts hip-hop fans would buy.
I do have my Jay-Z /Eminem Yankee Stadium concert shirt. Never getting rid of that.

Rock bands also just have iconic logos. That's part of why Dipset did so well with their branding.
A lot of people who buy those rock t-shirts don't know who Iron Maiden is, but the logo looks fire.
