Is Marley tbh? AAs didn't fukk with him while alive and no current pop artist globally is his successor. Marley is a meme and caricature in 2016.
That's the image, the catalog could stand on it's own

We talking about legacy not though, not the quality of the music, and Marley is a meme for weed and thats about it.
I equate legacy with the music more than the image. Say what you will about his image but the estate is building reputable brands in coffee, tea and even branded cannabis

If you sold a Tupac tea that would be like a joke

I'm no expert on reggae or contemporary Jamaican culture but I do know that he's generally
regarded as one of the greatest song writers to grace the earth and when people bring up
musicians that matter a great deal Marley tends to pop up in those conversations.

I think as a musician he preached views that were very universal and timeless which has
helped to him stay relevant for decades.

I can easily cite Tupac as the archetype for the modern pop rapper whether it be image, mic presence/cadence or songwriting

Just hard to do with Marley

Tupac's estate seems to be worth more

You sure? I've compared Tupac's to Kurt Cobain's and it didn't look that good, I couldn't imagine that Bob Marley wouldn't exceed Kurt or at least fall in between

Apparently I'm right according to reported figures/estimates

Tupac's estate is worth $40 million
Bob's is worth $130, plus all of seeds can tour for life and they are kings in Jamaica

Marley probably has a more revered legacy worldwide and in America (outside of the black community) and is a more iconic figure...but i never thought his music was all that great...i'm not overly familiar with his catalog, but i know of alot of his hits, and they just never moved me like that. :manny:

Pac is the greater artist to me.

Why u bums always tryna put two black men up against each other, in the minds of the public. Foh with that divide and conquer tactic:camby:CAC devil:scust:

:usure:

This is Marley's father
