That's a decent spin thread. I honestly hated the majority of the X Men films but they've turned it around in a major way starting with First Class. Then The Wolverine dropped bombs. Then DOFP which is one of the best comic movies IMO. Their quality recently....probably as good as marvels of not betterMarvel Studios stans are dumb as hell lol. No Cyclops, no Storm, no Jean, no Rogue, no Gambit. Just Wolverine in the boring ass 70s doing nothing. It still had its moments, but nah man that aint X Men. They could have done so much more with that storyline and instead they made it basic as fukk
Not every x men story needs all of those characters though which is the reason there are so many damn characters in x men. there are great stories told without cyclops and storm and jean and rogue and gambit. Some have wolverine and charles, some are charles and magneto, some are cyclops and storm, etc. The beauty of having so many characters and so many different iterations of those characters is that you can mix and match the lineups while making it still feel like an x men story.
