Life Is...., Born To Mack, Short Dog's In The House, Shorty The Pimp or Cocktails. You really cant go wrong with either one of those

Pretty much his catalouge from Born To Mack - Gettin It you can't go wrong. No one talks bout it (maybe cause to most he's not as lyrical) but Short actually has a solid disco from 87-96. that's damn near a 10 yr run of nothing but top notch material. Once he came back from retirement it was pretty much up and down as far as albums are concern. he always kept a few hits sprinkled throughout but not consistently albumwise like his 1st run.

Agreed imo he has 3 classics during that stretch with Life Is, Born To Mack and Cocktails. And every other album during that time period is like you said nothing but top notch material.

Lotta great Short albums, but if you can only have one - I would say You Nasty.


It's the perfect mix of old Too $hort and new Too $hort.
