I know Wesley is a parody of himself and dudes may roll their eyes but from 87-99 outside of Denzel he was THE black actor.

Action, drama, comedy.

He made some terrible choices and career moves after but don't slander dude name with what he influenced.

shyt....

Terrible ass Ryan Reynolds would never have gotten Deadpool if it wasn't for Blade 3. Cause his terrible Hannibal worked perfect for Deadpool.

Hell the "bullet time" shyt people love to credit credit to The Matrix...Blade did a whole year before.

Del Toro got his breakthrough on Blade 2 after Mimic flopped for US exposure.

Basically he would try to have sex with female extras and acted like he was at glorified music video shoot.

On Shaft they said Sam Jackson almost choked him out cause he was blasting rap music and partying and shyt and not taking it seriously. Missing scenes and putting them behind schedule.

There .....was....no.....Blade....3.........!!!!!
Blade 3 is a Deadpool movie, and works best when seen like that. :yeshrug:

It's Blade 4 which doesn't exist. I saw what they did, turned Blade into a pimp prostituting a white boy then a white girl. Made him subordinate in his own movie. fukk them for that.

Pimps aren't subordinate, so that doesn't even make sense. It was what it was, he was too old to do all those stunts and they brought in the help while he fell back and directed. He was more of a professor x than a subordinate.

Blade 3 is like AOU or IM3 or Iron Man 2 or 3....it's best to remember the first classic and forget that movie happened.

It was ASS.

Wesley wasn't old. He peeped game to them trying to give Reynolds and homegirl they spinoff off his hard work. And said fukk it.

Wesley wasn't in the movie, and the direction given to the nikka who was smacked of 'supporting character in his own movie'. He was a villain in spite of his motives, because it was the white girl's movie.

The movie was about the white girl investigating her brother's death. By the end Blade has turned her out, just as he'd turned her brother out, and she's dressing and acting like an escort to turn tricks for vampires instead of the military leader we were led to believe she was.

That wasn't Blade. That was a pimp hustle white slavery movie dressed up as Blade.

I enjoyed Blade 3 much more (but I'd also just seen Deadpool, so it played more like Blade and the Merc With A Mouth buddy movie). If I had seen it without Deadpool, I would have been furious. But I didn't.

"John was like, 'Nah! Hah! Hah! See, he’s got the spirit of the Black Panther, but he is trying to get his son to join the [civil rights activist] organization. And he and his son have a problem, and they have some strife because he is trying to be politically correct and his son wants to be a knucklehead.' "

Laughing, Snipes continued, "I am loosely paraphrasing our conversation. But ultimately, John wanted to take the character and put him in the civil rights movement."

You're joking right? Name 1 successful Marvel flick prior to Blade. Financially...critically.

I'll wait....

Avi Arad....who produced later on X-Men and Spider-Man got his start with Blade.

Marvel was damn near insolvent in the 90's and Blade gave investors confidence and it a decent amount of money to stave off getting sold off.

It's no coincidence X-Men and Spider-Man both suddenly out of left field got greenlit right after....when both were stuck in development hell for 10+ years.
