Why would a nomination bounce drop Trump below 40% in these polls? Hillary didn't really drop per se after Trump secured the nomination, he just raised his ceiling to an equal level by consolidating Republican support. And he never came anywhere near 50% like she is now. You can live in denial if you wish but the facts are that Hillary didn't just gain support--Trump also lost some.

Keep your ghoulish fingers crossed, though, hoping that fear will drive his numbers back up.

Fifty-one percent disapprove of the presumptive Republican presidential nominee's response to the massacre, while just a quarter of Americans, 25 percent, approve, according to the CBS News survey released Wednesday.

More than 6 in 10 Americans, 62 percent, think the U.S. should not temporarily ban Muslims from entering the country, while 31 percent said the U.S. should.
The proposal continues to see support from a majority of Republicans, 56 percent, though heading into the general election, 79 percent of Democrats and 62 percent of independents oppose it.

A Washington Post/ABC survey released Wednesday shows seven in 10 Americans view the presumptive GOP nominee unfavorably, up 10 points since he announced his candidacy for president. (Hillary Clinton reached a new high in the unfavorable stakes as well — 55 percent.)

Yet even more striking is Trump’s standing with people who are black and Latino — growing voting blocks whose support is crucial to cobbling together a winning coalition. A staggering 94 percent of black voters view the real estate mogul negatively, as do 89 percent of Latinos, despite his predictions that he will “win the Hispanic vote” in November.

Trump is winning white voters by an average of 17 percentage points, matching exactly Romney’s margin from four years ago. That’s not good enough, especially considering that the 2016 electorate will probably be more diversethan 2012’s. Trump probably needs to do even better than a 22-point lead among white voters, or he will have to pull in more minority voters than Romney did in order to win.

Again we still 5 months to go and a lot can still happen but this had to be one of the worst 2 political weeks for a Presidential Canidate in History. Trump had a Racist Controversy one week and now he's handled this Orlando Shooting terrible. GOP is scrambling to not only explains his blunders but even putting some in tough positions to defend it. Polls are coming out showing him dropping in all catagories accept White Men (Surprise).

Hillary is even polling good in Red states like Kansas and Utah. The Email Inditement pobably ain't happening now that she's the official nominee so Trump will need a new stradegy to stop Hillary. Nobody is saying Hillary is even a good canidate but compared to Trump who's gone all the way right, she starting to look like the resonable alternative to general election voters. Trump problem is he's treating the General Election like the GOP Primaries because he doesn't listen to anyone. He's been the "BOSS" for so long he will not take advice from anyone.
