Men HAVE to understand that women are HUMANS. That's how this shyt started in the first place.

And HUMANS have needs that must be met just like you have needs that must be met.
We easily forget this stuff and I don't know why. Gender roles only work if they are practical for whatever circumstances you are in. And they should never be so rigid as to discourage change or flexibility when necessary.

Sometimes I feel like I'm the only pragmatist in the world. Like is there a magical land where I can just get balance.

Where I can play this role but my husband won't undermine me, take me for granted, be threatened by my talents and intelligence or see it as competition, will be supportive of me and proud of me and push me the way I support him?

Like is there a place where there are men with common sense to understand that good leaders always listen to and respect their advisors instead of always bytching and moaning about staying in ur place and being weaker?

Is there somebody out there smart enuff to realize that isolating 1/2 of the world's population and insulting them, or underestimating their abilities might result in a backlash?

Or that if your a good leader others won't mind following you, but you have to be deserving of that gift and ur actions should show it? And if you break that trust or cheat you lose that right, no excuses.

Is there a place where women won't shame men out of their masculinity then turn around and complain about their not being any real men around? Is there also a place where men don't define their masculinity in terms that are insulting or abusive or obnoxious to women?

Anybody? I wasn't raised in an environment where men and women were constantly bickering. My mom and dad are partners and leaders in their own right. They rule what they are good at and help each other grow in areas they are weak in.

It's really that simple but people keep making this shyt complicated and I'm trying my best to understand WHY?!
