no it wouldnt...

the blueprint to the love below didnt

fell on deaf ears...n barely did anything

Ceeloperfectimperfetions.jpg

n the love below aint even seein that shyt..

arista didnt even know what to do with the album...kuz it was suppose to goto the love below movie(idlewild)...

they was scared of it...big went head n did his album..n they jus decided to put both out n see what it do...

n shyt jus hit....nobody was expectin it...

yo this is a good post

that cee-lo album was my shyt....

but he didnt have a hit like these two did that put its release on the radar

plus outkast and goodie mob werent on the same level as far as record sales were concerned prior to each of these albums being released....

so yea, cee-lo's joint was slept on but at the time of its release his fan base was alot smaller and the album didnt have a big single like "hey ya" or "i like the way you move"

but i stil stand by what im sayin when i say that the love below was the reason that album sold like it did.

The singles attracted, the album delivered exceptionally and that translated in sales

gettin grown n closet freak...didnt go over..

i remember the article from vibe...t...right be4 sp/lb dropped

big n dre was sayin the label is scared of the love below...n big is the one who picked hey ya...kuz dre was leanin towards roses..

hey ya leaked a whole 3months...n it didnt do a thing...ghettomuzick made a lil noise..

so they went with hey ya anyway n ghetto muzick...

arista didnt kno how to market cee-lo..his 1st n 2nd album...shoulda did better than what it did...

its funny when cee-lo came back with gnarls..

alot of the industry thought he was a new artist...when the gnarls type shyt was on his 1st 2 albums..

its alot of ppl who still think cee-lo started with gnarls...n dont know his goodie..or other solo stuff..

That CD was the perfect mix of a successful album.

You had a smash pop single "Hey Ya"

You had an Urban single that was a hit " I like the way you move"

Hip Hop heads respect Outkast and Speakerboxx kept it rap, hip hop, Hood

The for the Pop fans "The Love below" was perfect and it took risks and basically birthed alot of that emo/singing rap you hear alot of (Kanye, Kid Cudi, Drake)

I listened to Speakerboxx mainly alot early on but about a year or two after it came out I started to appreciate the Love Below more.

Im sitting here listening to the love below and just thought of how blessed Big Boi is to have been able to have his album included with this one....

Big Boi should never have anything negative to say about Dre......

And i fux with big boi........but very few people who bought that double cd did it to hear his album....

11 million album sales.......thats crazy

tryin to discredit big boi :wtf:

FOH

:mindblown:
:what: How are you not discrediting Big Boi with the statements you made in the bolded? Seriously you say people who bought the cd did it to only hear 3stacks cd, how is that not discrediting Big Boi? You also say he's "blessed" to have had his cd packaged with 3stacks, again how is that not discrediting him?

Then you later on go and say the album would have only done gold w/o 3stacks album yet the album had a single that was the number one song in the country at one point, and was in the top 5 in the Billboard's year end charts. In 2004 if you have a song doing those numbers buddy your album is probably doing gold in the first week and easily selling multi-plat. Tony fukking Yayo the next year had a gold album and he didnt have any single as near a hit as I like the Way You Move.
