1. The Tuareg aren't 100% Arab, never were. They are mixed with Black /African Moor. They were Black African first. 2. Not all the Berber Tribes are Muslim. There are Jewish and Christian as well. 3. You fall right into the trap into believing things without doing your own research on this group.

It's ok Sharia Law is in Libya right now where Black African were hung in the streets/beatin/shot and mutilated in the streets when they were all safe under Gaddafi and the U.S. created the fake scenario.

It seems like its a matter of pick your poison. Islamic extremism on one end, European colonialist on the other. But upon further examination into the issue, the Tuaregs are fighting for their independence from the European creation called Mali. The fundamental issue is that Africa was carved up by Europeans and not Africans, and until this key issue is resolved by Africans, the continent will always be in turmoil and conflict while western powers eat all the resources till there is none left. So reducing this to a Muslim vs Christian issue is way too easy because its far deeper than that...

Yea the Tuaregs INVITED their co-religionists (Arab-Muslims) into Mali to help them seize the Northern parts of the country and now those groups like the Ansar Dine, Mujao, AQIM have taken over and have brought in other Muslims (some of them being Black from the region) to help bolster their forces. Now instead of an Azawad State (for the Tuaregs) these foreigners have created an Islamic state where Sharia is the law and the Black Flag is raised high.


When the rebellion first started it was all about Azawad:

then an ugly turn when the Islamists were invited in....all you see now is Black Islamic Flags

man these euro countries have started annoying me with their adventures in africa

they talk a good game and are definitely less militaristic than the US but give them a chance and they're happy to fukk with that continent

not to say that Mali isn't in an ongoing conflict, but you have to wonder why here and not elsewhere etc

just to set it straight, this is the tactic of EVERY rich country (including the US, except they usually worked through European proxies in Africa, such as in Zaire/Congo).

Anyway i'm not really sure about this kind of European influence (which would really just be French, other European countries don't give two fukks about Mali), rebellion's been going on for years, and blew up because of Lybia crumbling and of Arab/Muslim foreign fighters being "invited". Tbh Europeans are more and more reluctant to intervene overseas, particurlay France (Hollande wants to set himself apart from Sarkozy, his popularity already is low and Left voters traditionnaly do not support military intervention) a lot of Africans I've talked to lately are actually critical of France/Europe for NOT intervening. I don't believe Europe/France will intervene directly unless it's as support to an African military force.
