I mean that was a few players removed from an Auburn squad that could've/should've made a NC and a team that was an OT loss to LSU from probably making the SEC CG and potentially the NC (they beat UGA earlier that year, who stomped out LSU in the conf champ)

Basically Im meaning to say those were pretty good ass squads they lost to.

Been reading up on Willie T all day today and was finally able to watch Willie T's presser. Also listen to a couple of his interviews today. I am so onboard with this hire Man.

Probably the best thing I read on Taggart and from Taggart himself today, was how he built his Gulf coast O. Willie came up under Jack/Jim Harbaugh. And was pretty much running that Stanford O at USF the first couple years. It was not working so he went out and watched a bunch of different spread teams and built his Gulf coast O from scratch to fit around his personal.

I fukking love that man. Pretty stoked with this hire, really hope it works out.

Everything I have read about Willie I love. If dude can get a good staff, I love him as a coach so far. I hate that I feel like he is on a short leash because our fanbase is full of bandwagon fans and they are extremely uneducated...not to mention black coaches always get a shorter leash anyways.

Willie has that swagger and he is going to be awesome with that Nike money behind him. he already is out recruiting and contacting more players than we ever heard from the previous staff. Jumped on a plane and talked with Tua's family, unfortunately it sounds like it was too late, but he would have been a Duck had someone from Helf's staff picked up a phone. He says it in every interview.

Also saying he offered Charlie Strong the D Coordinator position if he doesn't get USF.

Willie can recruit Florida, get people to recruit Texas, California, and Hawaii and he has his bases covered. It will be hard to really increase recruiting at Oregon due to distance, but I feel like we stopped being aggressive in recruiting and that hurt us. Willie will put a stop to that.
