Meet the newest member of The Flash's Rogues gallery: The Top, played by Awkward star Ashley Rickards.

E! News has exclusively learned that Rickards will play Rosalind "Rosa" Dillon, a.k.a. The Top, in the fourth episode of The Flash's third season. The Top, which was a male character in the comic books, has the power to make people's heads spin. She's the Bonnie to Mirror Master's Clyde and one of the most dangerous members of the gallery of Rogues.

Executive producers Aaron and Todd Helbing told E! News that episode 304 is an origin story of sorts for Mirror Master, played by Aquarius' Grey Damon—and it'll also mark the return of Wentworth Miller as Captain Cold.

"It's kind of the origin of Mirror Master...We're really excited," said Aaron. Added Todd, "It's the origin story of him, but it's this struggle between Mirror Master and Captain Cold and you get to see who comes out on top."

You'll have to wait until the fall to find out who that is—but you should know that everyone on The Flash was very excited for Miller's return. "We're excited to have Wentworth back because he always brings this amazing presence," said Aaron. Miller is the first DC TV actor to strike a unique deal that allows him to be a series regular on every CW superhero show: Flash, Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow and now Supergirl.

Rickards starred on Awkward for five seasons after a memorable turn on One Tree Hill. She also appeared in two episodes ofAmerican Horror Story's first season.

The Flash season three premieres Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 8 p.m. on The CW.

AWKWARD Star Ashley Rickards Joins THE FLASH Season 3 As The Top; Captain Cold's Return Set

my bad .. didn't realize article was posted too

E! News is reporting that The Flash has cast Ashley Rickards as Rosalind "Rosa" Dillion a.k.a. The Top and she'll make her debut as the extremely dangerous DC Comics villain in the fourth episode of the upcoming third season.

Rickards' iteration will be a new take on The Top, a male character in the comics, but she'll retain the same metahuman abilities, which are to make people's heads spin. Her version will also likely share a fairly intimate relationship with Grey Damon's Mirror Master as she's being teased as the Bonnie to his Clyde.

Rickards is best known for her lead role as Jenna Hamilton on MTV's comedy drama series Awkward and has also guest-starred on episodes of Zoey 101, Ugly Betty, One Tree Hill, Entourage, and American Horror Story: Murder House. Her film credits include Fly Away, Sassy Pants, A Haunted House 2, and Behaving Badly. She can be seen next in the comedy The Outskirts.

Additionally, episode 304 is shaping up to be a big one for the series as not only will it introduce one of the Scarlet Speeder's most formidable foes in Mirror Master, it will also feature the return of fan-favorite Wentworth Miller as Captain Cold. "It's kind of the origin of Mirror Master...We're really excited,"teased executive producers Aaron & Todd Helbing,"It's the origin story of him, but it's this struggle between Mirror Master and Captain Cold and you get to see who comes out on top." Sounds interesting enough and while the duo wouldn't reveal anything more, they did enthusiastically express their excitement on working with Miller again.

So, what do you guys think? Excited for the upcoming season? Sound off with your thoughts below!

It Sounds Like Teddy Sears Will Return As The Villainous Black Flash In Season 3 Of THE FLASH

Despite the fact that his plan was pretty much identical to that of the Reverse-Flash in The Flash's first season, Zoom still made for a great new rival for the Fastest Man Alive during the show's second year. However, he became even more intriguing after being transformed into the Black Flash during the finale, a story decision which seemingly set up some sort of return for the villain down the line.

However, with Flashpoint, Dr. Alchemy, and Savitar all set to take centre stage during The Flash's third season, will there be room for the Black Flash? Based on comments from executive producer Andrew Kreisberg, it definitely sounds like the door is open for the villain to return at some point this year.

"Obviously we did that on purpose," he said of Zoom's surprise transformation. "We love working with Teddy [Sears]. He’s such an amazing actor and amazing person, and was so much a part of the success of this show last season. There aren’t any immediate plans for that, but you can’t keep a good Black Flash down, so I’m sure we’ll be seeing him in the future." What do you guys think?
