whoever said otherwise? its always the anti-analytics squad who brings up strawmen arguments. no one who is pro analytics has ever said its the only thing to go by. it certainly will help improve the talent you do have though, by showing you how to use that talent properly, what lineups to go with, etc

Breh, you know there is no type of middle ground with analytics.... either you're a white nerd who bullied his way into sports he knows nothing about or a " i don't like dem numbaz" type.

Just wanted to say it so he can appear as an intelligent negro to massa

SAS really seems like the dude who learned the SAT word of the day, and spent all of first period trying to find a way to use it in a sentence before lunch.

Oh you don't know what it means?:sas1: maybe you should acclimate your lexis to make room for such vernacular :sas2:

Owners like analytics cause the numbers can be implemented into a business model, and they can understand that a lot better....

You don't even have to know a whole lot about the game.......

Analytics heavy teams still have yet to win a ring, and it'll stay that way. The analytics heavy Rockets just made it to the second round finally. OKC is watching from the couch. The Sixers love analytics and they're the worst team in the NBA. Don't give me the Spurs, they have 3 hall of famers.
The Spurs use analytics, jackass.

the question isnt blacks cant do ANALYTICS is do they they use ANALYTICS

tell me if i am wrong most black coaches have to come thru the ex player route....

where would they get that ANALYTICS background and if they are willing to use it would they believe it?

what are youu trying to say about black coaches? and wouldnt they get anaylytics background from playing the game.

alot of people thought lionel hollins didnt use analytics.

But, as Tim Bontemps reports, Hollins denies he disdains analytics but he admits he needs to learn how to us some of the newer tools and sometimes his gut tells him to try something the analytics suggest won't work.

"I’m going to take a breath," Hollins said recently when asked if he uses all the numbers, "and say it’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard because every coach uses stats.

"Now, do I understand some of the stats that are out there that are new? No. But I can learn them."

The Spurs were winning before analytics and you will see next year once Tim Duncan retires how good those analytics work :sas1:

The Mavs analytic team surely told them Lebron was going to have the worst series and freeze up, I'm sure...

Analytics are why Kawhi Leonard is where he is.

having an Analytics background is not like needing a degree or something in it. You just need to know how to interpret the statistics given to you and then draw up your own conclusions.

truth be told, being an ex-player alone shouldn't be some sort of prerequisite but somehow that is so.

Guys like Sam Cassell and Patrick Ewing (hopefully) are learning these things as assistant coaches under coaches who DO follow analytics like Clifford in Charlotte. Cassell unfortunately was assistant under 2 coaches who absolutely don't give a fukk about advanced stats in Flip Saunders and Randy Wittman (and it's no surprise that they're two of the worst at what they do)
