Here's an interview with the Director/Exec Producer talking about the chances of Quarry coming back for another season.
I'll up the chance it comes back to 30 percent after reading this interview.. Cinemax should bring it back. I mean what show do they have besides that horror show? The Knick's fate still hasn't even been decided.

Greg Yaitanes: Hard to say. What I like about the way things work at Cinemax is that there's a careful curation to the choices, and where things are going to go, and how they're going to lay out. Quarry's no different. It's a meaningful project. There's a lot of all of us in it (at Cinemax and Anonymous Content), and we'd all love to see it go on. When Cinemax is ready, they'll make a decision on that.

Was the Vietnam set filmed in the same place as "Carcossa" from True Detective?

That Vietnam sequence was incredible.
Everything got tied up beautifully. even explained the mask he kept seeing.
Best episode easily.
MORE shows need to get 1 director per season. it's worked out very well for every show that's done it.
Give the season a 9/10

I'm amazed that they wrapped up the "one legged man" and "Elvis fat pants" storylines so quickly. From earlier episodes, I thought they would be multi-season big bad characters.
They even got rid of the main detective guy, though it looks like the other detective might start looking into the song notebook.
