You know, just cuz of these pictures you're tempting me to visit Philly at some point, and I don't even stan East Coast Cities like that.

:salute: Like Chicago, always felt it got a bad rep from naysayers and what have you.

:ohhh: Wasn't aware is was a majority African-American city. Learning something new every day.

Well, to be completely honest, it's not majority black anymore.

According to the 2013 census, it's 45% white, 44% black, 7% Asian (13% Hispanic, not a race i know). Philly is a black town on one side and an Irish and Italian town on the other.

Philly is what you make it. Wanna be in the hood, go for it

Wanna live in center city, go for it.

It definitely gets a bad rap. Its no NYC or DC in terms of nightlife, etc but i still love it and there is fun to be had.
fun to be had where? :wtf:

Spent two summers in Philly during my college years (2000,2001) and I loved it. I personally rank it above dc and atl especially since the neo soul vibe was pretty strong in that city back then. Than again it's probably totally different now.

If you're a nature lover like me, Philly is cool in that regard. Pocono Mountains are 2 hours away. In terms of Philly though, if you drive 30 minutes in any direction from the city, you run smack dab into beautiful countryside. Especially in Bucks and Chester County. A lot of old farm houses and estates. I took many of bytches back there :ahh:

This certainly isn't enough time to gauge the overall climate of a city but i did a couple of Wizard World comic cons in Philly awhile ago and from my brief experience of going there, I left with a very favorable impression of it.:ehh:

Surprisingly the people there were very friendly with me. I enjoyed it both visits.

I wanted to visit that haunted prison there but tours are only during Halloween I was told.

its meh. I wanna move forreal
Philly is cool. Cost of living though is :scusthov: $1000 for an apartment is not good. In the south you can get a nice apartment for like 500-600 easily. I hate the narrow streets in Philly and traffic sucks sometimes. Oh yeah, and parking is TERRIBLE. Other than that yeah, its a really diverse and cool place to live

got a ticket today :sadbron:
