^^^^ this is the heights I have always known. When I think of the heights I think about being outside hanging out with friends, the music (random people dancing in streets), the parks n playing baseball/basketball, the food where for 5 dollars you can have yourself a meal for 3 people and eat good and the beautiful girls who aren't Americanized.
Now the hipster movement is in full effect over there you can already see it. Been seeing a lot of these new restaurants opening up with overpriced Spanish food and overpriced liquor. Greeks and other outsiders taking over the restaurant/bar spots. The Muslims taking over the bodega spots. The big American businesses taking over the mom and pops spots. Now the culture is changing also very slowly u can see it but it still only represents a small percentage of the heights.
Now I see this show is trying to show that Lower East Side hipster movement in another part of the island. This isn't the true heights. Lol I think MTV agenda is to have white people move in and take over. They selling the idea.
5 dollars feeding 3 people? please leave these tales of ancient mythology and folklore alone.
As much as I love The Heights, this show is actually promoting diversity. Change is good, you really want Dominicans to be potrayed like those Jersey Shore idiots?

@ you thinking they would show mangu spots, guys selling "frio frios" on the corner with patelitos and empanadas as well. This is the hipster Washington Heights...watch them dudes jog in the morning alongside riverside drive and hit up Chipotle in season 2 (if there is one) as if the shyt is a staple in the community. I knew this would be like this tho. Washington Heights is a great neighborhood, but I always questioned how that would translate on screen.
