I'm ok with everything except the royalties. I mean spousal support comes out to $300 k a year. Child support= $180 k a year. Royalties is not something the wife should get. that's work related. personal accolades

The national salary for a nanny is $40k.

Three full time nannies is $120k a year. He could've easily hired three chicks to take care of his kids round the clock :pachaha: They aren't rich because of his wife or anything she did. They're ultimately rich because Mike Epps is funny. I could use your logic and say that Kevin Federline being a "good father" helped Brittney Spears sell 25 million records but, that would be complete bullshyt. She would've been famous and would've been rich as fukk regardless. Same as Mike Epps.
I feel fathers that stay home with the kids should get paid as well. If there is children involved, a "non-working" parent is invaluable, imo. Even when the situation is reversed, I advocate for spousal support. Marriage is supposed to be a partnership and if you don't think the other half of the kid being there to raise your children (not a stranger) while you're free to make money at your leisure, isn't something you should have to pay for then don't get married. People are fukking selfish.

This is something that for the life of me I can't understand there is so many around this. There is a point where you might start to think your going to get a divorce. When that happens start moving assets all over the place. Like you don't expect to be in a car crash but you wear a seat belt.

If you start to feel a divorce coming on start slowing shifting assets to dummy corporations. Or even better put your assets in a trust. I still don't understand why their is huge divorce settlements in this day and age we live in. Trust and corporations can be setup on the cheap.

One thing I don't understand don't royalties go on for fukking decades why she getting that money.

Above the fray.
Some of ya'll are selfish as fukk. Do you really think he'd have the same level of success if he didn't have a wife at home caring for his children? You really think he'd be able to do 300 tours a year and film for movies and shyt with two young kids? You think he bought 10 properties with no assistance from his wife? You think she never made call, made an appointment, put down on a deposit or did a negotiation on his behalf? All the shyt that he pays people to do now. If you look at marriage in terms of an outfit, your spouse is the shirt or the bottoms, not an accessory. You NEED that person to complete the outfit and I'm sure she's served her purpose and then some in 12 years. Pay her! Ya'll tripping.

Completely disagree.

When did you first see Mike Epps either on stage,tv or film?

I bet this chick wasn't in the picture at the time, not his high school sweety, not his day one, none of that.
I think he met this woman AFTER he was already a known/name comedian with agent and lawyer.

If she been there from day one, held him down while he was paying dues to get on,etc......your post would have more validity. She still wouldn't/shouldn't be entitled to such a percentage of HIS earnings, but there would be a stronger case for it.

This settlement and all of these celeb divorce settlements are legalized strong arming. Women scorned and trying to hurt a rich man the best way, by taking his money. These laws were put on the books to protect women at a time when most (white) women weren't in the workforce. There should be a legal cap on how much of a celeb's EARNINGS that the ex spouse should get.

She still has children with him that gave him the time to make more money. You can't compare the mother being at home with the kids to paying a stranger to do it. I'm sorry. If there were no kids involved then maybe I would feel differently. Employed people have a hard enough time finding job, you think a woman that's been out of the job market for years is just going to go out and make a job like that? I mean damn, I can understand being hard on hoes, but your ex-wife and mother of your kids? This money isn't hurting him and he will still make money in the future.

I didn't make any references to "stranger raising kid" or nannies...and you will never read me write any vulgar slogans about women. I think that there should be a legal cap on how much ANYBODY should get after a divorce regardless of how much money the breadwinner makes. Should be based on living expenses and possibly education/training if the spouse wants to eventually get off his/her butt and work for a living.
I'm assuming the house she's going to live in is paid for...Epps is already going to pay child support/school/etc.

What entitles her to 300K a year plus?
