why is this so difficult for people to understand? we're not upset about him admitting that he's prejudice, that's no surprise to many of us here. it's the fact that all a Black person has to do to arouse suspicion in Mark is have a hoody on, a white person on the other hand has to have the appearance of a neo-nazi, leaving no doubt that they're trouble. a white person in a hoody wouldn't arouse suspicion in Mark but a Black person in that same hoody will.
Interesting, when I watched the interview I thought he was saying that's what it would take to arouse suspicion if he were on the other side of the street, meaning if he were the black guy in a hoodie, a bald white guy with face tattoos would make him cross the street. Doesn't matter, even if that's what he meant it's a terrible comparison, because the first example was almost entirely based on race, the second example adds in class, physical characteristics, etc.
