Some of these rappers would be lucky to get show money of some sort and blow it away on something expensive (like a brand new car, renting an expensive car etc) and not spend their money wisely knowing they ain't got a steady income.

As far as the comment about rappers living off some girl or groupie/h0e or whatever, I think that hardly ever happens. Most of these rappers have kids mouths to feeds. I dont think these hoes are spending money on themselves, their kids, these rappers, and the rappers' kids.

Overseas can be good to some rappers - Arrested Development still tours Japan, Australia, and Europe regularly, and releases albums in Japan. And that is not DuckTales. I went to high school with the current female singer in the group and she is by no means getting rich, but it's a living. But she's smart and has a lot of side things going too. Speech is doing just fine but he has a lot of side hustles too.

I don't know how 2000-era rappers translate over there but it seems like people that had content and skills aged pretty well overseas, and not so much here. EPMD, Das EFX, names like that can at least make a living it seems.

i'm still a youngin so i dont have time with my job to blow it all on seeing golden age acts, but i know just recently in my area smiff-n-wessun did a show with m.o.p., rakim and slick rick did a show together, etc.

I know BCC and Foxy personally.

The members of BCC are able to tour yearly overseas and that's where the bulk of their income come from. I'm talking places like Japan, Prague, Italy, Argentina, and other countries you'll be surprise to know there's Duck Down fans.

Unfortunately, Foxy and her brother Gav (Pretty Boy) is living in their BK childhood home, and doing terrible. Her poor mother is not doing too well, and their aunt is holding down the house...I won't divulge more, but Foxy fukked herself over with her stink attitude. When Lord Camel opened the Barcalay Center with those concerts, he invited her to perform, but she never showed up. And she's really bi-polar.
