yall still falling for the hype in 2015??

pac was in the business of moving souls and enlightening cats in the streets and such.

meanwhile, white folks & new blacks are generally the only people that pay attention to kendrick.lamar. kendrick doesnt even touch on most of the topics that pac tackled.

lol @ dude posting that horrible new video that kendrick has out.:mjlol:

it'll be harder for old heads to appreciate the art of the youth
it's easier for a youngin to appreciate the works of a predecessor

pac is a one of one
kendrick is a one of one
every artist is in there own space & no matter how similar none are exactly the same

you're better off appreciating what kendrick is doing by itself
your asking for confrontation as soon as you make comparisons(ESPECIALLY TO PAC:snoop:*)

let young king kendrick's poetry have it's own space in time
just as pac had his*

young 2pac? the homie died at 25

shiitty ass thread

I don't think most people in this world realize Pac was 25 when he died. In contrast, Kendrick was 24 when he released Section 80 and 25 when he released GKMC. He's 27 now. Yet I'm certain most people still see him as a young dude while seeing Pac as a fully grown man

Pac the GOAT had an incomparable work ethic, gave us all of that music and cinema in just 5 years. :wow:

using his talent to spread a positive social message
but Pac got caught up in tha era and politics of tha rap game at tha time, he caught tha tail end of that gangsta era
his insecurities wouldn't let him become who he wanted to be, thats how it wuz then, rappers all pretended to be thugs in order to be accepted
Kendrick is lucky to come up in an era where you can be yourself without it considered "selling out"
(1) 2Pac was spreading black empowerment by any means necessary...And he started doing it from his first album...

(2) 2Pac became exactly who he wanted to be...He had the same formula from 2Pacalypse until Makaveli...From his very first album he showed how multi-dimensional he was...

(3) 2Pac was destined to die a violent death...He was outspoken, and he had no problems with confrontation...2Pac was politically active in multiple black ghettoes...Kendrick Lamar only left Compton when he got a deal...Where is footage of Kendrick Lamar making speeches about black empowerment in the community...?:mjlol:

Kendrick talks shyt about his peers on record, and when the heat is on, he goes into hiding and cops pleas...That's when I knew I would NEVER intentionally listen to a Kendrick Lamar song...:mjlol:

I know it's been beat to death but that snl performance
was a nod to odb & meth
Method+Man+method_man04.jpg

nov.15.1968/odb's birthday
nov.15.1994/tical original release date
nov.15.2014/k.dot "i" snl tribute performance

the way he meshed meths visual aesthetic with odb's mannerisms and energy even the vocal inflections :whew:*
IMO you gotta appreciate that:yeshrug:*

if you forgo comparisons it becomes easy to appreciate what he's doing*
