thank you. u could argue daredevil should be higher, if your basing it on story quality.

wolverine aint had a dope read as a solo character in damn near a decade.

lol at "where's gambit". fukk gambit. loved him when i was a kid. then i grew up and realized he was logan with a wack accent and even wacker backstory.

"i can charge any inanimate object and make it a lethal weapon. hmm... let me throw playing cards at people." :pacspit:
How do y'all justify these nikkas with a few years of relevancy compared to the DECADE(S) of shytty story and basic irrelevancy

Cyclops... Daredevil:what:

No one is saying they shouldn't be on the list, but how long these nikkas been around.. Like 40 years? And only recently have they done some cool shyt and all of a sudden they are above cats like Wolverine and the Hulk?:camby::camby::camby:

And nothing I said was to discredit Logan or anything he's done, I'm making the argument for Spidey. I won't deny the guy who I said should be number 2 his props, I'm speaking up for the guy who I feel rightfully is number one. Like I said, genuine heart and soul because it's always on display. ALWAYS. They're two different characters with two different modes of operation but Spidey is clearly their ace
hes the poster boy because he represents the everyday regular guy... Wolvie doesnt.. you can read a story about Spidey goin through some shyt & be like :ohhh: that happened to me before, i lost my chick cause my decisions... i never read a Wolvie story where i was like that... i was prayin Spidey got his girl back, didnt care about Logan... im biased though.... im not a Spidey stan but it is what it is.. i got problems wit the list but Spidey isnt one of em....

LOL @ dudes thinkin Big Pun would be anywhere near this list, might as well add Deadpool :mjlol:

Word. I can read spider-man and say "yeah I had issues in school because of the same shyt" or "damn I had to make some tough decisions about my girl and my future too" just the idea of a normal guy with normal issues having to choose between two identities and two separate lives is very relatable and very compelling. It's like when Batman loses a chick, you don't feel for him because you know it's not paramount for him. Peter wants to have it all and it sucks when you realize as a reader that he probably can't, despite his best attempts and the fact that he deserves some happiness.

Apparently you've never had the experience of gutting your fiance with unbreakable claws to put her out of her misery.

Just me then?

saw this online and thought it was relevant to the discussion.

it's a mt. rushmore inspired marvel superheroes book-end

imo that's pretty accurate. although if any one of those 4 were to be replaced, i'd say wolverine is the one i'd have the least problem with it.

and in case you're interested here's the villains one.

WHy would you want Wolverine replaced outta those 4? Just because someone is not the commercial favorite of the bunch doesn't mean he's not the best superhero...just saying...I would remove Spider man and Capt. America before I remove wolverine and the Hulk;

I can't. I never related to Spider man at all. I read the comics for the stories, but I related to the x-men teams and characters much more and I put absolutely nobody above them, especially Wolverine.

cause to me a mt. rushmore should be comprised of the 4 most culturally significant characters on the roster. spiderman and the hulk are true icons. not just marvel icons, but icons period. they transcend marvel. they're basically american folk legends at this point. so those 2 got their spots locked down.

i put cap on there cause after those 2 i feel like he's the next biggest icon. their "champion" character so to speak. i know he wasn't really considered an a-list superhero until recently with the movies and all but even before that everyone always kinda knew who captain america was. even if you didn't know ABOUT captain america you knew OF captain america.

i got no problem with wolverine being in the #4 spot but i'm just sayin i would be okay if you replace him. i love, LOVE wolverine and he was my favorite x-men character growing up but i just don't feel like his cultural status is recognized quite like the other 3. i dunno maybe i'm grossly underestimating his popularity outside of comic and nerd circles.

Come on, breh, be honest: America was built on racist and capitalist ideology and practices...they don't have a real cultural folklore legend outside of a commercialized product; mainstream, or upper class America, who have been in charge of propagandizing these so called cultural icons, have no idea what it means to be an everyday person, especially a black person in this unjust oppressive society...So tell me again how Spider man and Capt. America are icons again, because their is nothing about them that relates to the real American experience...I argue that the majority of America cannot relate to Spider man or Capt. America because their experiences contradict the REAL American tradition of hardship, labor, and internal/external struggle (like Hulk and Wolverine) You may see SPider man and Capt. America more, but the heart of the masses is always with Hulk and Wolverine, because they are us.
