If u had to guess, what's her background ?

off natural glance/instincts walking down the street I'd say she's from El Salvador. And google searching her other pictures I could see myself saying middle eastern or Indian.

I would not think white/italian....she doesn't even have a white girls lips and nose. I would never guess white/italian even if she was pale....if she was pale i'd naturally think light skinned latina.

Ehh, it's Moor blood not technically SSA. It comprises of North African/Berber blood and Middle Eastern (with drop of SSA admixture). The Canary Islanders, South Portuguese, Spaniards, and Iberian Peninsula carry it.

I call it the "Pink" affect. Remember when she first came around and everyone thought she was a lightskin/mixed Black woman?





Her music was a bit more "urban" and she was presented as such. She nor the label really actively said she wasnt until Black people put her on then she completely changed genres and makes white music now. Then later some program I saw on VH1 years later she was all like, "Duh! Im not Black!"

Im sure older posters may be able to point to an even older example.
