You know thats bullsh!t. yall only come around in black history month. any other day, if you mistake a Jamaican for African, its war time.
And why shouldn't they be upset? They aren't African, they are Jamaican. Mistake a Guyanese for being Trinidadian, mistake a Haitian for being Jamaican, mistake a Japanese for being Chinese, mistake A Puerto Rican for being Mexican, mistake a Spaniard for being Portuguese and so on and see if you won't have problems.

Caribbean people rep their nationality above anything else. Jamaicans are no different. They are proud to be Jamaican first, then black second. You call them another nationality of course they are going to correct you.

Thanks for proving my point.

When people assume im jamaican because im black, just I correct them. i dont get upset.

The ignorance irritates me though, black people come from Africa, so assuming im Jamaican, doesnt make sense.

On the contrary, assuming a Jamaican is African, would make more sense since thats where they come from.

Yet the got OFFENDED. as if to say , how dare you compare me with those bush africans. When in reality, we are some of the most successful black people in the world. So there should be no shame in getting mistaken for an African. A simple, "no im actually Jamaican" would suffice....theres no need for the  reaction that I often see.

Oh well.

yeah, i know the parties for miami carnival...lets start a thread as it gets closer and we can all link up from the coli...

I've been 3 times..I'm done with it. Do they still have that huge party at Bongos on the Sunday? Last time I went was in like 2010. Alwaaays been an easy hook-up weekend. The one in BK, is pretty weak now.

It's every Easter weekend in April. These are NOT hired models..you actually see nicer looking girls than the ones in these pics...these pics are not shyt lol. The weekend before the festivities start on a beach in the north coast in Ochi Rios then the party shifts to the capital they also have one in Montego Bay. In Kingston the festivities start from Tuesday and every day there are parties building up to road march Sunday. There are all inclusive at many venues and a huge block party in a exclusive area called jacks hill. These parties are in the more prominent areas of Kingston so you see the top of the top women. Friday is Jouvert.. It's starts in a place called mas camp and this is like the ultimate carnival kick off, i would say about 3 or 4 thousand people its nothing but paint water and women then trucks arrive at about 4 am and everyone marches on the road throughout new Kingston until about 8 am.

Here is 2 pics someone took of me and sent from Jouvert (paint party)

. After that there are some beach parties and other all inclusives until the night. Saturday they have a couple of "breakfast fetes" that start a 3am with breakfast and alcohol and goes on until about 10am. Everyone leaves "breakfast fetes and got to other parties that usual start from about 11am until the night.

Sunday morning is when all the bands meet up to play "mas" on the road, thats where you see everyone dressed up in carnival gear and all the trucks this goes on all day and you march until the night and end up at mas camp again where you have a night party and food. There are also drinks on the trucks included all day while marching and a rest stop for lunch where food is included.

If you want to come next year let me know...You can hang with no problem..you will see women like you never expected. I always bring my american friends and they are addicted because they never knew this life existed since the negative stereotypes that are made about other countries. You need to get everything in advance such as tickets and your carnival costume they start selling around February
Thank you for the info bro. I can't believe you said these women ain't shyt. :what: It's like that down there breh lol? I can't imagine much badder than what's in the OP. All the women in these pics are beautiful, great smiles, glowing skin.....but how are the attitudes? :patrice:

I remember the party at bongos by the arena, I dont remember them having it last year..it has gotten much better though, not the carnival itself but the fetes, because the traction it has gained has alot of Trinidad promotors bringing there fetes such as Scorch parties, and Vale Breakfast fetes here to its crazy now.

the carnival girls are good, always with carnival you will find a good atmosphere alot of drinks food, wining and fun...You can pretty much dance on any and everything its the weekend when everyone is wild..but like I said that is just carnival culture no matter what island you go to..You dont have the stereotypical uptight or angry women beacuse everyone already knows what this event is about.

lightskinned women for the win.

Notice they have no darkskinned women

i have been to jamaica several times, and the women DON'T look like the OPs pictures (for the most part). those pics are a collection of light skinned women that the photographer just happen to catch. trust me, a vast majority of the women in jamaica look like this

Ask yourself this question...why did they decide to post pictures of only the lightskinned ones?
