I found myself lol'ing several times throughout the latest episode (especially when Desi was freaking out over his oxys)
he's such a scumbag. but then again so is marni, and jessa, and hannah, and elijah, and well fukk it, I'd be better served typing the folks who have a redeeming quality.
on a side note, at least lena dunham wasn't naked this episode

I find it fascinating that I watch this show everyweek without fail without liking a single one of the characters. All of them are a mess, every single one. I feel like I would not get on well with ANY of them if I might them in real life, except maybe for Ray.
Marnie is the worst as far as I'm concerned. She is so self-indulged it's unbelievable. Ray is a sucker for fukking with her but I reckon he is so blindly in lust with her he feels like he's winning because he cant bag anyone more attractive. Some sucker shyt.

you and me both. I have seen EVERY episode after not watching the first 3 seasons initially. I binged the entire show a couple years ago.
that being said, these are some of the most narcissistic characters on tv. and its not like sunny in philadelphia where they take a tongue in cheek approach at the gang's narcissism and it's actually funny. they are totally unlikeable, unrelateable, and it makes you hate every one of them.
personally, I don't know who's worse. jessa is fukking her best friend's ex, marnie is fukking her friend shosh's ex (ray) and her ex husband, and hannah's just a total bytch. maybe shosh is better, but they portray her as the stereotypical JAP (no cism) on here where you can't even find any redeeming qualities about her. all of these people live in NYC, and none of them have a decent job that would pay over 20K a year.
A few notes
I find it so hilarious how awful Hannah's writing is. It was some of my favorite stuff in the season when Hannah went to the writing program in Iowa and everyone that read her work was like
It perfectly illustrates everything I hate about that sort of stream of conscious, quirky, meta, hyper aware, yet tone deaf writing that post-modern hipsters routinely employ. It's present in Lena's own writing so I'm not entirely sure how much of it is intentional for the show, but I do thoroughly enjoy pausing the screen any time her writing is featured and reading through it.
Dessi is one of my favorite characters. That dude is such a piece of shyt fukkup and he always leaves me

i been away to long, my feeling died.
You really think this is how it is nyc for white people? All those jobs they have pay more than 20k easy. All of them are college grads and white, they can be stupid and unlike able but will they get those jobs hell yes. I went out with in a Brooklyn hipster who worked in a coffee shop, she lived with a roommate off court st and Atlantic and she lived very well she got paid in cash and check. She also worked at a bar part time, these coffee shops pay well for those got that look plus tips. The girl I dated made enough to open her coffee shop in Connecticut.
Let's be real, white decent looking with a degree can stupid petty but well paid.

nikka this episode was amazing. The whole premise and storyline and dialogue of those two debating their perspectives were A+.Probably the best episode of the series
For a second I was on both of their sides hearing all of their perspectives. I was sympathetic to Hannah and I was sympathetic to him. There are so many bytches on the Episode thread on Reddit campaigning saying how theyve been in those situations and it still baffles me but I'm glad she made an episode for their perspective.
