coupled with the fact that i've had the internet for so long now, and nothing that special being released recently...i've heard just about all the good you can hear. when i first got a connection there was no shortage of things to download. now i'll find a great release every few months. there's no doubt that the influx of wannabe rappers and mc's that can't create a good project to save their lives has taken a toll on this too.

real talk, blu lacks convincability and does sound like artist who were grass roots in the 1996 - 1997 hiphopsite.com era.
if people are hard pressed to listen to records that are not atmosphere.
then, needed the rocafella cosign to listen to ye.
who is wack as fukk compared to slug to Louis logic.
yet, ye is the what if I got a jiggy cosign and made urban/rnb based/pop based emo music production wise.
or, what if slug rapped like an inferior jayz on rocafella

the issue with most of my contemporaries music is, they never up'd skills in convincability, and vocal tonality.
so, they are eventually going to shed any interested listeners over time from not progressing skillwise.
as, listeners of culturally based artist should always be held accountable skillset wise.
when, those artist fail to evolve skillset wise.
they will have an extreme loss of interest over time.
plus, make it more difficult for everyone in the genre and thusly, the culture to gain note, as well.

Everyday someone who has good taste in music hits me with some type of link... @hustlemania @IronFist @JamieFoxxHairline and @Big Mel blessed me in the last few days.

I subscribe to only artists/bands I like on soundcloud and that shyt just gets served up in a stream....

I subscribe to only artists/bands I like on Youtube who constantly put out content...

On twitter I look for music other people are posting or are talking about...

This very forum has a few talented individuals who post up their own music....in the last few weeks @TEKBEATZ and @Cole Cash have put out quality.

Personally, I don't have a problem with it. In fact, my only real problem is making the time to listen to all of it.

I actually couldn't tell you any specific names. But I frequently visit that site and find something good that I've never heard of before. there are also posts of familiar names that aren't in the spotlight as much. this was the first site that came to mind when i read this thread title.

I saw this one today...its pretty good if you like that dusty/jazzy east coast sound. BTW...it's not me despite the similar name. I have never heard of him.

Exactly. This shyt is dope and is stickied at the top along with another dope project, but some nikkas will overlook it since hip-hop forums generally don't support their own artists even when they're good.
Then this same thread will get made again in another month or so and the same shyt will be said. nikkas just gotta find they're own path to dope music, because quality shyt can get thrown right at people's faces and they'll still find a way to not notice it.

and the worst part is, THERES NO FILTER. and so because of that, any random joe schmoe can post music up wherever & whenever.
