I never been much of a fan of ether. I always preferred takeover.
Takeover was just all around superior.
I think Jay's reaction is what made ether seem so hard hitting tho. And the fans ran with it. If he had kept his composure, ether wouldn't have been gassed like it was.

It Was Written was better than anything in Jay's catalog except Reasonable Doubt at that point.
