i honestly cant stand people who drive stick shifts

shyt if i had money for a Lambo id have that thing with auto

Why? Sounds like you are either intimidated by people who can or wish you could drive one.

I've taught a couple people by letting them keep it parked in a lot, in neutral, then pressing on the gas with the clutch pedal pressed until the engine gets to 3K RPMs then slowly letting off the clutch. Then they can practice going idle to first doing the same thing. Only gets easier from there (with practice).

This! Ive taught a few people how to drive stick and this is where you start. In a lot, letting them get the feel for the clutch and 1st gear. Id tell people to hold the gas steady at around 2.5 RPMs and slowly lift your foot off the clutch. The car will move and you get the feel of 1st gear. There is an art to 1st, once you get it, you know 1/3 of what it takes to drive a stick. 2/3 is starting on an incline, and the last is shifting up and down into the appropriate gears.

A not-shytty dual clutch is better in every aspect except engagement. :manny:
Even regular autos are starting to be better. I’ve heard a lot of good things about those zf auto trannys. With that being said sports cars should still offer a stick. It’s a shame that Porsche, Ferrari, and lambo is going all dual clutch.

I got my first auto car after 7 stickshift cars

Back in the day auto was trash but now it's high key better than stickshift. Same performance, better gas mileage, easier in traffic. If I need engagement with the vehicle I ride my motorcycle. IT is a good skill to have though. Whenever we go to Europe we rent a car and all they have is stickshift. I remember going once and one woman was crying because they didn't have an automatic on hand :pachaha:

My rule of thumb is once a car can do a quarter mile in 14 seconds or less it's probably better served by an automatic

I drove a 458 at the track.... its too fukking fast for a stick. A normal driver trying to brake and rev match into a corner would die.

Yo why do Honda clutches feel like potato bread?
Man I would rather a Honda clutch than a Nissan clutch. Working a Nissan clutch is like

I was never really good at driving stick. I'm self-taught. I lurch a lot. People get car sick when I'm driving manual.
The best part is down-shifting and getting that high-rpm jolt. Other than that, manual-transmission driving is just giving your car an HJ.
