What are we foster children who need a home?

We live in an age where entertainment/pop culture is more fragmented than eve.r where some random site putting out a top 10 gets people worked up more than an award show. I just don't think a culture needs its own award show anymore like that. Its mostly just there for celebs to get together and watch each other perform. Recognition has become more subjective than ever thanks to the internet and massive entertainment choice options.

I dont even know if people even have the energy to get angry/happy about awards because as soon as someone wins or is snubbed, the whole award show gets forgotten for the rest of the year. Half the time we're retroactivley looking back on shows (like Grantland does with the Oscars).

Well that I disagree, lowkey I think hes gotten better but the Stan/hater hysteria online makes it hard to have an honest opinon and fair listen to him.

Drake has 12 nominations, Kendrick Lamar and 2 Chainz are up for 8 awards each.

Drake is nominated three times for the top prize, video of the year. His hit, “Started from the Bottom,” will compete with his collaborations with 2 Chainz (“No Lie”) and A$AP Rocky (“Problems”). The top award has 10 nominees, including Justin Timberlake’s “Suit & Tie,” Kanye West’s “Mercy,” ”Adorn” by Miguel and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ “Thrift Shop.”

Chris Brown and R. Kelly will perform at the awards show, to air live June 30 from the Nokia Theater L.A. Live.

Chris Tucker will host the BET Awards.
