an ancestry test on bruno will surely link to somewhere in west africa. hell, im actually disappointed at the responses so far in this thread. its almost as of many of u never even walked past a school, let alone attend one.

if his hair doesnt give u a clue that there's some black blood in there some where, how about his half puerto rican father? do u not know the makeup for puerto ricans?

Don't think being Puerto Rican automatically qualifies for being black. They said his dad half Puerto Rican ( don't know his race) and Hungarian Jew ( most likely Ashkenazi) and mother is Filipino.

Most likely he is white and Asian.

The average Puerto Rican has 25 percent Sub-Sahara African DNA.

However, by social practice, we don't "one-drop" so-called Hispanics. The majority of Puerto Ricans ranging from J Lo to Marc Anthony and Rosie Perez, possess various levels of West African heritage due to the Transatlantic trade, to go along with their majority white European blood.

They have very little indigenous Taino blood.

Given Bruno's father's phenotype and his European Jewish heritage from one parent, it is highly likely
that his Puerto Rican parent had significant African heritage. Looking at him when he was younger and growing
up in NYC, Bruno's father could have passed for a member of the DeBarge family (who are biracial themselves).

Now, does Bruno Mars having African DNA through his paternal PR grandparent make him "black"? I dunno.

In 2017, without the application of the "one drop of African makes you black" rule, how do we generally define
what "black" means today? (and no one ever concretely answers this question on this site)
