For those asking why get schaub, it's because it was before the draft and an undrafted Rookie QB was the best we had at the position. We didn't know we would get Carr.
Also, with QBs you spend and draft until you find/develop one because without one you are pretty much fukked and hopeless...With Carr we have hope

I'm re-signing Houston/Veldheer before I trade for fukkin matt shaub who was statistically one of the worst QBs in the league last season. We'd be way further along if it weren't for reggie's brain farts.
Better than schaub who only completed two passes over 10 yards in the preseason..imagine a rex defense where they dont have to cover more than 12 yards that stacked box for the run plus the blitz

Calvin Pryor is going to shore up a lot of issues in the Jets secondary. I'm not worried at all about Darrin Walls. I chalk up people not knowing who he is in terms of the Jets secondary. Plus...Carr passing and mechanics drops off dramatically under pressure...the reason for him falling to the 2nd round. Lots of cats need to temper their talk
Houston didnt want to be on a team that didnt have a QB(no competitor does that's why it's hard getting FAs), and Veldheer had his family doing the negotiations, whom got their feeling hurts in the negotiations...I'd take tuck and woodly over LM and Gabe jackson was a really good draft choice, yeah it would be better with JV but thats life things dont always work out

As far as JV, he had his brother doing the contract talks, and Reggie was like look your bro isnt worth this much, he is weak here, here, and here his bro thought more of his bro, and reggie was trying to keep the price down, at some point in the talks a cord was struck that pretty much deaded any chance JV had with staying with the team, it sucks because he wanted to stay before that, and the raiders wanted to keep him, but his bros inexperience in these types of talks screwed us
