Its nothing but half breeds playing black women on tv and in the movies. :smh:
Its so damn true, and its damn sad, There are plenty of full blooded black women that could play these roles. The only black women in the new indie black movie Dope is mixed race. Im making this thread to expose the non-mixed black women!

I mean think about it, all these mixed race actresses are starting to look the damn same to me.
i.e
Shes is in the new movie Dope

This is the real problem in Hollywood, as far as representation goes.
Holding up biracial people as pinnacles of black beauty, and we the people not deriding the disingenuous ploy.

We don't need an injection of white blood to validate black beauty. That's a fight that's fixed, and is ludicrous to even consider.
Can they be appreciated, desired? Yep.
Should they be held up as the benchmark? Nope.

To be fair coretta was sorta light skin not saying coretta was not black but i just think casting did a god job.
She also has the little of the same vibe.

Wasn't this thread about the representation of dark and brown skin Black women under 40?

It didn't make it past page one before the #dietBlack (I am stealing this @aXiom) women were presented

White people are the majority, so of course black women are going to be underrepresented in the media.

I don't see why this is a thread.
