Again not answering the questions I posed in the op.

Here you go:

a lot of ya'll are mad dismissive/scared of ATR's and I'd like to know why since it's what our ancestors practiced WAY before christianity was introduced...

Have ya'll even done any research on the different systems?

a few...

Is it because your fam has been "Christian" or for a few generations?:aicmon:

Nope. A lot of my fam isn't Christian now. lol

Is it because your pastor/imam taught you that it's "devil worship"? :shaq2:

Nope. Christians churches shouldn't have a "pastor".

why can't ya'll see that christianity is and has always been toxic for black folks? :mindblown:

lol, because it hasn't always been toxic for Black folks.

Thanks for your concern, though.

Religion as a whole is bs to me. The African ones/Islam/christianty etc

But one thing I hate is how black people will fight tooth and nail for that Islam/Christ shyt lol.

Do ya research it's a spin on old African religions what fell off.

just proves my point that ya'll "christians" avoid ATR's without doing ANY research on your own. keep listening to these prosperity pastors and shyt if you want. they aint tryna liberate you b.

DON'T GENERALIZE ME!!! NOW LET'S GET BACK ON THE TOPIC OF ME GENERALIZING YOU...

LOL I never stated Jesus was white. As a matter of fact just recently in another thread I had to let someone know that black people can differentiate between daVinci's paintings and what he is suppose to look like. We know Jesus does not look like the BeeGees lol!

A couple of things that we probably should point "Traditional African Religions" (I am assuming Voodou; JuJu; ancestoral worship; etc) were usually mixed in with Christianity and Islam. Moreover, many slaves were already Muslim or Christian even before they got to the Americas.

1. Some of the earliest Christian churches were in modern day Ethiopia:

2. The people of Kongo (Congo) actually converted to Christianity while in Kongo under Manikongo Nzinga a Nkuwu (Joao I of Kongo) in either 1485 or 1491. That was before Columbus even discovered the Americas for the Europeans; and roughly a hundred years before the transatlantic slave trade.

3. Many slaves (Mandinka, Fulani, Hausa, Vai, (some Yoruba), Susu, Dyula, etc.) that came to the Americas were actually Muslim. It is estimated about 30% or even more of all slaves were Muslim and they had been so for hundreds of years before slavery. They were forced to convert to Christianity, because it was feared that their religion and their high literacy rates allowed them to lead slave rebellions.
