I enjoy giving gifts, the food, family time, music and most of all seeing the smiles on my wife and daughter's face. :manny: All that negative shyt the threadstarter woofin' about sounds like unhappiness to me.

its a birthday celebration for a fictional character created by cacs to generate revenue and instill fear into the braindead masses

no different than the asians having a funeral for an anime character, which they did:

From Times Online comes an article titled "Fantasy funeral brings out thousands of real mourners," which looks at a funeral held earlier this week in Tokyo for Raoh, the antagonist from Tetsuo Hara's Fist of the North Star series. Over 2,500 mourners appeared at the funeral held for Raoh, who will die in the upcoming Fist of the North Star movie.

It's crazy as hell how, here in 2013, with the information age at it's height, there are still sleep-minded people who celebrate things like "Christmas" and "easter" and "thanksgiving" and "birthdays", yet still call themselves "Christians" :bryan:

Even going so far as basing their reasoning behind conducting these pagan rituals around the celebration of Jesus himself, the very entity that Pagan goes against :russ:
Back in the 90s, I was tolerant with many people being ignorant to the origin of these things. Not many people were big on encyclopedias and/or reading period. :yeshrug:Especially if it resulted in shattering their spoon-fed Babylonian style realities.

But here and now? In 2013? When all you've gotta do is grab a few bibles, log on to the information highway known as the internet, and search and research all the facts surrounding such things and their origins..and then double check these facts against other credible sites and sources, and then gather it all and use the bible to cross reference it and see it's truth? :ohhh:

There's no excuse for all the ignorance surrounding it, and no excuse for people to still be celebrating it.. ESPECIALLY BLACK PEOPLE :ohlawd:
No longer can you just say this is how I grew up, this is how "mommy" and "grand mommy" taught me as your excuse for still being asleep.
Mommy and Daddy were too busy simply following their mommy and daddy and what they were raised to believe in, it's not as if they have all the answers simply because they are "mommy and daddy". We must grow up and seek our own knowledge. It's called being an adult.
Not to mention the parents and grandparents did not have the access to the information that you have access to. Nor were Black people encouraged to think outside of the realm of white acceptance enough to want to even begin to research certain shyt. Blacks back then had less resources available to them.
