Katy (Tex.) Cypress Lakes standout De'Aaron Fox already cut his list to a working number, now he's focused on visits.

Five-star point guard De'Aaron Fox has set up four official and five in-home visits, he tells Scout.

Fox, who narrowed his options to Arizona, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, LSU, N.C. State and North Carolina in mid-August, gets things started on September 9th with an in-home visit with LSU.
Kansas then comes in on the 11th, followed by Arizona on the 14th, N.C. State on the 16th and Kentucky on the 21st.

Not only will LSU get the first in-home visit, but also the first official. Fox is scheduled to visit the Tigers the weekend of September 19th. The very next weekend (Sept. 26th) he'll take a trip to Louisville.

After a weekend off the road, Fox is scheduled for Kansas' Late Night festivities the weeknd of October 10th, while Kentucky will host him for their Big Blue Madness the weeknd of October 17th.

Prospects are allowed five official visits, so Fox would have one remaining.

Fox is regarded as Scout's top point guard and the No. 4 overall prospect in the 2016 recruiting class.

Fox to Kentucky is what I hear.

ArizonaVarsity.com - NCAA visit could mean trouble for Hillcrest/Starshine Partnership

Wanted to post this, talks about hillcrest prep, the school Bagley and Ayton transferred to, being NCAA ineligible because of academics issues. So they may have to transfer or play international.

Also my NCAA top 10 teams:
1. Kentucky
2. UNC
3. Villanova
4. Virginia
5. Kansas
6. Maryland
7. Iowa State
8. Duke
9. Utah
10. Oregon
11. Texas AM

You're not a fan of that Ukrainian SG on Kansas?

I was reading RealGm and saw Simmons being compared to a prime Grant Hill and Ingram being a T-Mac/KD hybrid. Anyone who follows these prospects closely, can you give floors and ceilings for the top guys?

I wonder how old Chris Boucher is. If he is 21 or under (looks young) he is a legit NBA prospect. Needs to add some weight but can shoot, great wing span, defensive instincts

Updated the 2016 rankings in OP. Moved Giles and Smith down a bit and added the schools guys committed to or are supposedly leaning towards.

Ok I updated the OP with Malik Monk committing to Kentucky. :wow: They are stacked next year. I love the Fox/Monk/Gabriel/Sasha Jones combo. Great job by Cal and his staff...

Anyway it's too early to make a 2016 mock or even a new prospectbig board for now but I'm about to post some players that i feel are rising and falling. A little stock report...

You got Dedric Lawson in your top 20. :usure:

His dad fukked up his potential by forcing him to play for Josh Pastner.

Pastner has killed Will Barton, Tarik Black, Adonis Thomas, and Austin Nicholas draft stock.

Dude would be lucky if he's a 2nd round pick in the 2017 draft.

Rising freshmen:
Deyonta Davis
Tyler Davis
Donovan Mitchell
Malik Beasley
Derrick Jones

All 5 were fairly known recruits. Ranked in the top 50 or even top 25 in the case of the 2 Davis' but none of these guys were projected as one and dones or possible first rounders. As of now I don't think any of these guys have played themselves into one and done category yet BUT they are on the NBA scouting watch list and if they continue to play as good as they have they may end up leaving. This 2016 draft isn't looking all that great so you never know.

Lottery projected players that have solidified their ranking so far:
Kris Dunn - has been terrific and is widely considered the best guard in NCAA.

Jakob Poeltl - has really become a dominant big man. Last year had some issues once Utah began playing their Pac 12 sched. So we will see if he is able to keep this up against better teams but has been excellent so far

Ben Simmons - LSU as a team has been quite disappointing so far but there is no denying his all around play, even if he has absolutely NO jumper.

Ivan Rabb - has been Cal's best player and while Jaylen Brown has been their go to scorer, Rabb does all the right things on both ends and is quietly out playing his teammate.

Caris LeVert - I was pretty disappointed with his play last year as he didnt play to star expectations in Michigan but after going down with an injury midseason, he has come back and now looks better than ever. Michigan does not look like a top 25 team but I can't wait for LeVert vs Valentine in the big 10

Talking about Valentine, here are some players that have really risen their stock so far:
Obv Denzel Valentine has been incredible and is proving himself a capable scorer and go to guy to go along with the excellent passing and D he is long been known for.

Daniel Ochefu - has NBA size and may be the best interior defender in all of college ball right now. His offense isn't elite but he is good enough around the hoop and plays with high IQ. Has went from non drafted to an early 2nd rounder.

Damion Lee - doing great job as Louisville go to guy and is very solid on defense. Should be able to make an instant impact off the bench for some team. Has NBA range already.

Gary Payton Jr - continuing his dominant defensive play and has done a very good job being more efficient on offense. His jumper has a long way to go and he is already 23 but looks like a possible late first round pick and a guy who can defend multiple positions at the next level.

Next post is players that have hurt their stock

I like my Lawson pick. Remember he was only about a top 40 recruit in most places and wasn't projected as a 1st rounder but early on he has looked like possibly Memphis best player and a top 15-20 freshman already. Considering he is one of the younger players in all of college basketball, i think I did a good job identifying him as somewhat of a sleeper.

Guys that are struggling so far
First are obviously Malik Newman who is like the 4th or 5th best player on a pretty bad Mississippi State team. Has been outplayed by his AAU teammate Quinndary Weatherspoon.

Diamond Stone has made a relatively minimal impact at Maryland, especially compared to the expectations he had. I'm still a fan but he seems a bit lackadaisical out there at times and needs a lot of work on his bball IQ.

Those 2 dominated the U17 World Champs 2 or 3 summers ago but it seems like neither guy has improved much since.

Antonio Blakeney - has played horrible point of attack defense and has killed LSU chances with some questionable shot selection during their losses and recently has been benched.

Derryck Thornton - is a guy who I've honestly never been impressed with but he became a consensus top 10-15 player as soon as he reclassified. He was supposed to take over and start at PG for coach K. However he has had minimal impact and has mostly sat on the bench during crucial stretches as Duke has used Matt Jones, Allen and Ingram as pseudo PGs.

Matter of fact Dukes class as a whole has been quite disappointing. Jeter and Thornton are clearly years away and while Ingram's talent is undeniably tantalizing he isn't close to making the sort of impact Deng and Jabari made in their first years.
